Because no matter what we're shooting at, we're still using what the uneducated public term assault rifles and high capacity magazines. No sense in bowing down to political pressure with the targets, we may as well use the Walmart smiley face as targets. Actually, those, but self indicating by a big red splotch, would be pretty cool. Really no different than the USPSA 3 foot muzzle language or covering your lower extremities with the muzzle, just a lot less words.
