Rob01
Of course, YMMV That's the best answer as there is no right or wrong answer. It's what the shooter likes best and works best for them.
Ethanolguy
Personal preference. My beretta 1301 has a red dot and my dawson sights came with red or green. I used the red just so I had the same color on both guns.
exmr2sw
Ive used red, green, orange, and yellow. I found that (for me), RED was the color that most absorbed the natural light during sunny days and also most visible on rainy/gloomy days. Of course, everyone's eyes are not the same. fastphil
I like red front and green rear, but whatever works for you is best.
Tampa-XD45
I prefer green much more than red. I see green so much better I also switched to a red dot scope that offers red & green reticles so I could use green for steel matches.
doc88
I think its personal preference but I vote green and black out the top of the fiber so the the fiber dot does not have such a flare to it. The dot is much more fine that way at least for my older eyes. Good luck and just try what works best for you.
Nimitz
While some people may perceive they see red better than green the healthy human eye actually sees green better than red under most light conditions ...
Jaycwebb
I use a red FO and black notch rear on both my Limited and Carry guns.
DreGarciaTAT2
I shoot outdoors in bright (Arizona) sunlight, I use Oakley Flak Jackets with emerald green polarized lenses, the red dot literally looks illuminated! I feel you have to try everything. People swear by different things, and no one is wrong. It's gotta work for you! 450AK
I'm with the green guys. I like it so much better than red. Seems to stand out better on all targets.
breakingcontact
I just switched to green. Need to shoot it on a timer to see if it matters or not.
