Ive used red, green, orange, and yellow. I found that (for me), RED was the color that most absorbed the natural light during sunny days and also most visible on rainy/gloomy days. Of course, everyone's eyes are not the same.

I think its personal preference but I vote green and black out the top of the fiber so the the fiber dot does not have such a flare to it. The dot is much more fine that way at least for my older eyes. Good luck and just try what works best for you.

I shoot outdoors in bright (Arizona) sunlight, I use Oakley Flak Jackets with emerald green polarized lenses, the red dot literally looks illuminated! I feel you have to try everything. People swear by different things, and no one is wrong. It's gotta work for you!

Not sure about that. I don't need the clap to know I don't want it. And there is something about egg plant that is just wrong, wrong, wrong!
