  1. Patriot Valley Arms has 7mm barrels if you are thinking about a 7mm of any sort. Look at the prefit price. A steal for a prefit barrel! Josh Kunz at PVA posted it over at Sniper’s Hide and figured I would pass it around. Well worth a look. https://patriotvalleyarms.com/7mm-over-run-blowout-sale-all-actions/
  2. No problem. I am sure it will probably show up when i am at SHOT so will put it on when I return. Might not help a lot but paired with the MBX buffer I am sure recoil will be low. Just replacing the buffer the other day at the range helped quite a bit and I didn't even start to play with it to tune it.
  3. Yup I understand that. Getting ready to head out there myself.
  4. Well I guess we will see when they show up. Must be backlogged if not delivering until 2/21.
  5. Interesting about shipping. I picked free too. Did you get an email with tracking before it shipped?
  6. Got out today with the MBX buffer and it was night and day to the standard buffer the lower came with. I left the red spring in and used Hornady Steel match 125 HAP ammo and it worked great. Dot barely moved. Recoil was smooth and not a slam. I am happy with it and plan to test the blue spring and see how it works compared to the red spring.
  7. Thanks. I use it for other loads but new to PCC. I have at least 16 pounds of it so I plan on using it and will just give a quick clean after the match. Usually do in pistols anyways.
  8. I ordered on on Saturday myself. I also figured for the price I will see how it works. Just have a A2 flash hider on there now so has to be better than that. LOL If not it's only $20 and looks better.
  9. I ended up ordering an MBX system so we shall see how it goes. Won't be able to start testing until after SHOT though.
  10. Thanks for the info. I was planning on getting the tuning kit too.
  11. Wondering myself. Anyone? Also anymore users of the MBX? Most likely will be getting one soon.
  12. The weight, once mounted, is a non issue. I replaced similar powered S&B scopes with the Razor IIs and can not feel the 10 ounce difference on the rifle.
  13. The Mark 6 3-18x is a $2200 scope so I hope it's a better optic. LOL You can go with a Vortex 3-18x50 Razor II at that price point and get illumination as well as solid clicks and tracking. Razor II glass is on par with S&B scopes too.
  14. If you can afford the Razor II then get it. It's a great optic. I have 3 of them and have had one of the first 4.5-27x on the market and it has never let me down in 2 year and running matches.
  15. Yup the Razor II 2C reticle comes in both MOA and Mils. I have had the mil version for a while now and it works great for holds. I have one in a 3-18x and one in a 4.5-27x and a 4.5-27x with the 1C.
  16. The Superformance loads, any of them, aren't the best for semi auto rifles. Even in some bolt guns it doesn;t shoot well. It's a little hit or miss as I have a rifle that shoot the 178 Superformance .308 load great and another that is over MOA. The way the powder burns it has a different curve and can show pressure and not shoot well in semis though. An adjustable gas block can help you tune the load. Here is Hornady's write up on it. http://www.hornady.com/ammunition/superformance-in-gas-operated-firearms Yes I run 26+" Creedmoors with my two now at 27" and 28". I like to have the ease of getting velocity and have no problem getting them around through obstacles at matches. My semi auto is a 22" but that's a trade off for ballistics for a DMR rifle which will take most shots inside 600 yards or so. My other bolt guns are made for long range matches. The problem with the short chambers on Savage rifles is a rifle problem and not an ammo problem. With a properly chambered rifle factory ammo works just fine and is not into the lands. It's a well known issue with Savage rifles having short chambers and they will fix it if you send it back.
  17. 25,000 round on a .308? Have heard of around 10,000 but that's much more than I have ever heard of. Mine have never lasted anywhere near that. If you push the 6.5 Creedmoor to get the most out of it you will get about 2500-3000. If you shoot a lighter load you will be in the 4000+ round range. Yes it's less but you have a much better round ballistically. A 6.5mm bullet with a .610 BC going 2850fps versus a .308 .530BC bullet going 2700fps is no competition. There's a reason most competitors are shooting a 6mm or 6.5mm bullet in competitions. If the guy with the .260 was calling your wind then he was probably adjusting or just giving you .308 wind calls for the wind speeds he was seeing. You will not get a .308 performing like a 6.5 in the wind.
  18. That has to be due to the rifles as the .260 will not give you 200fps more than the 6.5 Creedmoor. Their velocities are very similar. I am running 140 ELDs at 2850fps in my Creedmoor and I would bet that you couldn't get them going 3050fps out of a .260
  19. Glad to have helped. Watch out though as they are like potato chips. Can't just have one
  20. Look over at Snipers Hide. They pop up http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=541&f=5553
  21. Check with Mike at CS Tactical. He usually gets a supply in. Also Euro Optics and Sport Optics. Always buying used is an option too.
  22. Been using it since last June and in a few matches, flown with it and banged it around and hasn't lost zero yet. This scope is NF and up quality so your "Spec Ops Master" would approve LOL This scope is in the top tier of scopes. I have owned and used many high end scopes and the Vortex Razor II gives up nothing to them but it leaves money in your pocket
  23. Which one you looking for? Reticle? Mil or MOA? The most seen street price is $2500 for the 4.5-27x so anything more would be too high but $2500 and under is a good price.
