JP221
I broke a trigger return spring during my dry fire practice today on my SP 01 Tactical. How tough are they to replace? Is this something I should send to CZ Custom to get done? I tried googling it and it looked like it's just punching out the pin that holds the trigger but these things tend to look easier than they are when small parts are involved. Thanks! JP221
Thanks so much guys!! So if I am understanding correctly, all I would need to do is push out the pin above the trigger just enough for the trigger return spring to drop out then install the new one and push the pin back in. Is that correct?
hiker88
Burningsquirrels has an excellent video of how to do it. Try to pm him for the link.
huskerlrrp
If you are in the CONUS, send me your address an I'll send you a spare trigger spring.
thompsoncustom
Jp221 your correct you just have to remove the pin enough to get the old spring out and install the new one. A pair of needle nose will help to force the spring into place as you tap the pin back in.
alma
The trigger pin can be a real paiNot saying you shouldn't do is yourself but you will need a big hammer and a concrete floor.
bigfish
I would get the Cajun gun works floating trigger pin to replace the factory one when you do it
Andreas
I would get the Cajun gun works floating trigger pin to replace the factory one when you do it Yup, the CGW trigger pin is wasp waisted, so the trigger spring holds it in place. Mine has over 5k rounds on it and at least 10x that in dry fire. I've never caught it trying to walk out.
Laughingdog
The trigger pin can be a real paiNot saying you shouldn't do is yourself but you will need a big hammer and a concrete floor. Not really. The Cajun Gun Works starter punch (http://www.cajungunworks.com/miscellaneous.html), a normal hammer, and a 2x4 with a 1/2" hole drilled in it works fine. I did it on my dining room table. The biggest advantage of the 2x4 is that pins don't go anywhere once they're out. As for the CGW trigger pin, I also wholeheartedly recommend it. The slave pin that comes with it also really helps get the new spring in properly.
JP221
I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate all the help! I just ordered 2 trigger pins, 2 reduced power trigger return springs, and the starter punch from Cajun Gun Works. I wanted to have a spare of everything incase my match pistol breaks and I might just replace them in my match pistol as well since I still have the original spring it it and it has 15k + rounds through it. Hopefully the parts will get here this week.

JP221
Just wanted to follow up and let you know I recieved the CGW reduced powder TRS, trigger pin, and starter punch and the project was a snap! The TRS took a little patience but I was off to the range in no time. I was shocked about the felt difference in the reduced powder TRS. Those are WELL worth it and I will be installing the second one I bought in my match pistol. Thanks again to everyone for all the help!
