dhunt91
Looking for the best all around comp (or your opinion of one) for an open build glock. Im ordering everything from Carvers website so anything from there. It will be used to shoot open major loads for uspsa as well as maybe minor loads for steel challenge. gerritm
I have a Bobby Carver built open Glock 17 Gen 4 with his 5-port major comp and it works great for both minor and major loads. It was set up with a 15# uncaptured recoil spring for major and I changed it to an 11# spring to shoot minor loads. I shoot mostly 3-gun so not a lot of major but I would recommend it highly. Very reliable, fast, and stays on target. I shoot my own minor loads and Freedom Munitions standard 115gr reloads. gerritm

ickus
G 34 major... Just switched from a SJC 5 port to the 11... runs flater ...did'n touch the 10lb spring...
Kraj
I use the SCJ 5 port, which is what they recommend if your going to shoot minor and major. If you are only going to shoot major i would recommended their 11 port comp. I would buy it again and am pleased with it on my G17.

canuk
I tried both the Carver and the SJC 11port on the same gun... back and forth. I couldn't tell a difference. I'm not likely experienced enough to notice if there even was a difference.
melissa5
I'll also vote for Carver. Bobby provides excellent customer service before and after the sale.
mpolans
I like my SJC 5 port. I have used it mostly for major, but occasionally for minor/steel challenge loads.
slinginlead
I have a carver on my gun, but I am thinking of making it a minor gun as the major seems to be to hard on the gun and not worth the hassle. So if I go minor, the comp is not going to matter that much any more.
ajjacks916
Another vote for Carver
idHawk
Lots of love for Carver and SJC. No love for GlockWorx? Just curious.
als14
Went with the Carver on mine. Comp works great and Bobby was very helpful.
czbeardly
My old instructor just built a Open G34 with a barrel/comp from IGB, and a slidemounted JPoint. I wished I could post a Picture, but I guess I am still too much of rookie on the forum
