quicksilver
I've noticed that some cases SEEM like there is some kind of cracking (could be a stain maybe?) in the ejection grove. I don't know if people inspect case this closely or not. This may be a "cases aren't perfect, it's ok to reload" thing but thought I'd see what you guys have to say. Let me see if I can get these images on here...
Steve RA
If you have a lot of them and they all look the same - probably ok. If it's just one case, I'd throw it in the scrap for sale bucket.
JimmyZip
When in doubt, throw it out.
Youngeyes
Is that primer pierced? That might be where you got the carbon marking. If this was fired in your gun i'd check the breech face for scarring from blow back. Either way I don't like S&B brass. Toss it. Hi-Power Jack
I throw away all 9mm S & B brass - too much trouble.
-Ace-
+1 on when in doubt throw it out, I'm very particular about brass and components, I see it as cheap insurance from destroying or damaging an expensive gun.
buckaroo45
+1 on not liking S&B.
quicksilver
It does seem like most of it is from the S&B brass... at least that I've seen. I'll just pass on these ones. Thanks!

It does appear to be cracking. It just seems like a rather wierd place to see cracking. You would think you would see it more on the mouth or body of the case. Hi-Power Jack
It does appear to be cracking. It just seems like a rather wierd place to see cracking. I've never seen a crack there??? Can't imagine why it would crack there, either. I'd check the gun, carefully. Is other (non- s&b ) cracking also?
wide45
If it has been roll sized, it is scrap.
njl
I don't even pick up S&B any more when I find it.
ProGunGuy
I don't even pick up S&B any more when I find it. never had a problem with S&b other than the factory seems to load them hot, necessitating more force to resize them.
Steve RA
I like S&B (in .45) as they have tight primer pockets that never seem to loosen until something else fatal, like a case split, occurs.
