Zmego
I recently had my shotgun stock cerakoted and now it feels a little more slick than it used to. Combine that with my usually sweaty hands and I wonder if I should use some grip tape on my shotgun. Do many people do it? I don't know if the recoil with tear up my hands or not. Thoughts? caz41
I have some on mine. It is easier on the hands than stippling.
Steve L
I go with stippling. If it's too aggressive I take a sanding block to it.
Brian Payne
Stippling worked on my shotgun. It is by far the ugliest shotgun in the rack and it only took me two beers time and a soldering iron to accomplish.
Corey
I have some tape strategically placed on mine and it works ok. Its getting worn down and I think I'm going to get it stippled. more permanent solution to the problem.

barrysuperhawk
I have skateboard tape all over my 930. Be sure to get actual skateboard tape, not the "stickey sandpaper crap" that the hardware store sells.
Doug S
Dawson Precision has grip tape squares in different colors and I have this on my Saiga forend. Seems to hold up ok and you can cut to any shape you need.
RDF5186
+1 for skateboard tape. 5 bucks and I have a lot left.
Bentsight
I tried grip tape and never got a good "fit" using it. In stead of stippling the stocks I applied a very thin skim coat of black 2-part epoxy and sprinkled it with a fine sized, black colored sand blasting media. Let it dry and shake off the excess and it was GTG. I also used the same process to build up a "plam swell" to make the gun fill my strong hand better. Additionally, there are many different sized grits and colors available to mix and match depending on gun finish/color or type of surface you prefer.
