  1. When will the match info be available? ie. schedule, registration, round count etc.
  2. Most tube clamps have a bolt that goes though it to tighten the clamp, use a sling mount as the bolt. your stock should already have the sling mount. Search "shotgun barrel clamp sling mount" on google images. it will show you a couple different ones. Doug Muzzle up, since it is longer.
  3. I had a few issues so I did the Grams followers and springs with plastic spacers. Fixed everything. I did put a couple spots of silicon on the spacers to hold them in place.
  4. ??? started with 88 slots available now only 61??? Might have been the 3 of us trying to register, since it kept giving us an error and saying "try again"
  5. Anybody else having problems getting Practiscore to register you for this match? 3 of us from ND can't get in????
  6. YES!!!! A Great match just got better! Nordic and Vortex, both fantastic sponsors!
  7. Thanks Mike, looking forward to the match again this year! Will there be a link to the website posted?
  8. I was in our local shop just before Thanksgiving and they have 2 M2 3-gun models on the shelf! In Minot ND, 701-852-4000, I think one was on sale for $2200.
  9. I just bought a DVC Limited in .40 a few months ago and this is a great way to go. it is a dressed up EDGE with a lot of factory mods. Lighted slide, lighted frame, 2 lb trigger, hard chrome finish, Extreme Shooters grip. Awesome gun!
  10. If I get off the wait list (third year in a row) then I am planning to try out the STEALTH division! But it does suck having to feed shotgun shells in 2 at a time, I do miss just loading 12 at a time!
  11. Just a note about 00 Buckshot, I have several boxes of 1200 fps that will not run my Saiga, that I can bring to the match. (for sale) I am not putting these in the classifieds since I don't want to ship. They are for sale locally but if someone shooting this match needs them, I will save them and bring them to Minnesota. This is what I have: 22-5 round boxes of PMC 1200fps, $3.50 a box or all for $75. 3-5 round boxes of Fed LE 1145 fps, $3.50 a box or $10 for all three. These are perfect for pumps. 8-10 round boxes of Herters 1200 fps, $7.00 a box or $65 for all. These are all 9 pellet rounds. PM me if you need some of these.
  12. Since we are throwing out possible causes, I'll tell you what mine did. I installed a DAA sight mount on my STI, it had a Serendipity previously. So it went from a 2 sided mount to a 1 sided. Then I installed an RHT thumb rest. This rest used 2 of the mounting holes, so I had the front hole of the sight mount that was tapered and the screw centered the mount on THIS hole only. There was just enough room on the other 2 holes to allow my sight mount to creep up on the back side and rub against the bottom of the mount. This was just enough to slow the slide down and not eject correctly. I would shoot a stage and the gun would work great then the next stage it would be a really expensive single shot! I took the RHT thumb rest off and put the DAA thumb rest back on, the problem went away. I had my gun apart at least 10 times before I removed the mount and found the problem. Good side was that I polished ALL of the internals, one at a time, to try and fix the issue. Resulted in a very smooth running gun. There wasn't anything wrong with the DAA mount or the RHT thumb rest, just the loose nut behind the gun! Remove your mount when the gun gets sluggish, then shoot it without the mount. Might help, might not. Just my .02 worth. Good luck. Doug
  13. Thanks for the replies. I was afraid the T1 wouldn't be enough of a comp for the Major pf. I am pretty sure I am going with the GM. Thanks again, Doug
  14. I would like to know if anyone has the GM with the T1 comp and how well do you feel this works for 9mm Major. I have a chance to buy a new GM with the T1 or a new Matchmaster with the T2, both are 9mm Major. I understand the reasoning of the T1 vs. the T2 on a full Gov't slide that hasn't been lightened. I would like to know how the GM reacts. I also know the differences between the 2 models, so please keep this conversation focused on the GM with the T1 comp. Thanks for any info. Doug
  15. A little late to the party, but Bayou bullets has 135s. just ordered 1k for 73.00. 3k goes for 212.00.
  16. This match can't get here soon enough for me! The temperature was 35 below zero when I opened the gates yesterday at work!
  17. If the firearms are accompanying you, get the ATF form 6, type up a letter explaining why you want to bring your firearms into the states and then it shouldn't be an issue once you get the approved form back. When you arrive at the border, declare your firearms and any ammo you have with you. Make sure the firearms are un-loaded and do not remove them from your vehicle until you are asked. Present your forms to the CBP Officer and follow their directions. If you contact one of the ranges in the local area, ask them for an invite letter to their matches. This will also be considered by the ATF. If you ship it, then you will have to deal with a US FFL. Not as tough as most people think. Just have all your paperwork in order. I am USCBP.
  18. Checked with Hornady and STI, neither one knew. This gun is amazing and I am just trying to find out what springs were used so I can get a heavier one without duplicating what is already in it. Oh well, I guess I will just experiment until I get the right one. Thanks for the suggestions. Doug
  19. Doug S

    .40 minor

Try k8nd.com/documents/hl40sw.pdf lots of good starting points for minor loads. I have used this site for 9mm, 38 super and .40 Doug
  20. FS, Thanks, tried the number but it is not a working number. looked him up on the net and found another number, no answer but I will keep trying. Thanks again, Doug
  21. I need to talk to the gunsmith that built an open gun that I bought from a member on the BE forum. There is a "KB" on the slide and the top lobe of the B is elongated. This gun was built for Hornady's 50th. And that is the serial number "Hornady 50". If anybody knows who this is, could you PM me his phone number? Just need some info on the springs that were used. Thanks, Doug
