I'm thinking really hard about getting out of the game and selling the DVC I got last week. It's a 40 and has had exactly 224 rounds through it. Keep your eye on the classified for more info.

DId everyone pay MAP ($2599) or do some people get a deal? Just a curiosity question

My dealer ordered it on March 15th. I originally ordered one from Dawson, but I was 22nd on the list. I decided to cancel and take my chances with a smaller dealer and be number 2 on the list. I called STI last week and asked Dustin when I could expect to see my DVC, he said I would be lucky to see it my July. I explained that my dealer had already gotten one and he said they are doing there best to distribute to lots of different dealers. I think STI is doing a good job trying to distribute somewhat evenly between all dealers. Obviously Brazos and Dawson should and will get more because of the number of orders...but I give props to STI for doing there best to even it out.

I got the call today. DVC is here!!! I ordered mine from a semi local dealer on March 27th, so I guess a litte luck never hurts in addition to some patients while waiting

Crickets........ LOL - Is it fair to say you have no coated barrels for open???????? Trunkmnky...chill out and give Dustin a break. It's the weekend...I wouldn't be responding to your never ending questions and complaints on my days off either. You are more impatient than a 2 year old and I should know because I have one. These are very popular guns and it might take a while for some of us to see ours. Asking "Are we there yet" every 15 min. isn't going to make STI produce them any faster. Be patient, wait your turn, and before long you will have your precious new open gun. SMH

You won't wait as long as you think. we have had 160 guns built of various DVC'S. We were still building guns without a barrel coating supplier. We are getting barrels back from the supplier every week. Be patient your time is coming. That is fantastic work. We all appreciate the hard work everyone at STI has been doing in order to shut us all up! Thanks for the great communication Dustin.

You all need to give Brazos and Dawson some space. People say they should arrive this week and instead of waiting a week to see what happens everyone calls and says, "is it there yet?". Take a deep breath and just chill.

I found out mine is a router issue. I just got a new TP-Link Archer C9 router. Apparently is is refreshing the network all the time causing my page timeouts. Has anyone encountered anything like this? More importantly does anyone have a fix for it?

"Apparently one of my local dealers (Grizz Precision) got a DVC Open today." This is false. I emailed him today and he said STI said to expect DVC end of April or beginning of May.

Would it be possible to tune a 9mm STI mag to run 40 or vice versa? I know the 9mm mags have spacers and I am sure the feed lips are different size, but aren't the magazine dimensions the same for both 9 and 40? I am sorry if this is a stupid question.

It is definitely on my end. I started doing some digging and the error I am getting is err_connection_reset. Any ideas for a solution? I got a new router a few weeks back. Could that be causing the problem?

Mine has gotten a little better...but still have issues. About 25% of the time a page wont load. I am wondering if it is a network issue on my end, but I don't have issues with any other sites.

I have a pinned 14.5". I had a local smith do it. He pinned the bottom of the comp and the weld probably covers 1/3 of the total barrel/comp surface circumference. Pinning is fairly simple and cheap. If you are nervous about the ATF regulations you can always give them a call and they will tell you what the requirements are. Government agencies are always super helpful!

You are 100% correct that is where they came from, I purchased one direct from the dealer that got them from Greene Co. S.O. It is a shooter, I replaced the front, and rear sight, cleaned it, adjusted the trigger, nothing else was needed, all of the magazines function I called SV with my serial number, and they told me that mine was built in 2000. I am really happy with the gun, at some point I may have it refinished, but then again it has character the way it is. Any chance you could post a pic for all us fence sitters?

I have no issues tuning my load, but can I tune it down enough? Maybe I should just stick with what I got.

Right now I am running a pinned 14.5 mid-length gas with a standard BCG and a carbine buffer. If I get one of these, would I need to change out my buffer? Would I need to do any other mods?
