Kyle O
It is not broken metal, but the weld popped loose on the 2nd point of attachment on the barrel, and now I have a hump while looking down the rib. I'll be using this gun in Vegas next week, and it will work, but what repair methods would you consider? I was thinking of a c-clamp and some silver solder/ torch. Oh, it's a Salient Benelli M2, probably factory benelli vent rib barrel. Edited January 8, 2013 by Kyle O

bassnbud
My Salient M2 did the same thing, but no hump. I just shoot it with no problems.
Kyle O
Kyle, is it the second post from the muzzle end? Including the muzzle attach point it's the 3rd one back.
a.roberts
A MIG would probably work too.
Jaxshooter
Silver solder will work also.
StealthyBlagga
I don't think I'd weld it, even with TIG. Flux the surfaces, stuff some silver solder paste in there, clamp it and heat it with a gas torch. Dan Sierpina
Drill and pin it. Winchester used to do that on the original Super X.
Boxer1
Probably solder from factory but like benny said tacking would probably be just as good.
assaulter
Duct tape?
Stuck in C
Benelli seems really stingy with the solder on their shotguns. The front sight on my ghost ring equipped M1 Tactical went flying during a match. When I examined it, there was very little solder under there. I re-soldered it using sheet silver solder: cut a piece to size, clamped it under the sight along with flux and heated it with a torch. It aint going anywhere now. djeffers
Duct tape? Yea, could also double as a barrel clamp!
