Mark K
Am looking for a flashlight for everyday carry. Slim, not bulky. Something I can clip in my pants pocket like I do my knife. Really want something around 2001900 lumens. Recommendations/Suggestions? MARK K
cyburg
Check out the last issue of Recoil magazine. They did a big thing on flashlights.

hvsmith
Surefire P2X Fury is great, just bought one, 500 Lumans, 5" long, may be larger than you're looking for but she really throws a beam.

Kyle O
http://www.zebralight.com/SC600w-XM-L-18650-Flashlight-Neutral-White_p_74.html I've got one of these, 600 lumens in your pocket. I like to clip mine on my hat brim. You would need an 18650 rechargeable cell.
diehli
600 lumens & a bit bulky. ~$70 through Amazon: http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=254 180 lumens & you'll forget you have it with you: http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=202 I've got 2 of the HLs and will add a third when I get my KSG (if that ever happens). I've got 1 2L that's got permanent residence in my 5.11 backpack, which I tend to take nearly everywhere with me.

Thanks - Before I saw your post, I found an HL at one of the local gun shops, for the same price as Amazon.com. While "only" 180 lumens, it is really blinding. While it may not be my one and only, it will work for now. Thank you all for the great suggestions. Mark K
sierra77mk
I like the Coast models. Mark K The 2L is the 180 lumen one, just so there's no confusion. $40 at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-88031-Tactical-Flashlight-Batteries/dp/B00396S1Q2
Nik Habicht
I've been a fan of the Fenix PD20 and PD30 for a few years now, since Vlad turned me on to them. The PD30 is almost always on me at home, while the PD20 goes in my pocket when I leave the house.... 180 lumens on high, strobe, SOS, 9 lumens on low -- low enough to check for pupil reactivity, and two intermediate levels of light output 60 and 80 lumens I think..... The PD20 takes one bettery, the PD30 produces the same light output from two batteries with a longer runtime.... I usually use them on either low or high, rarely hit the intermediate modes... Wilkenstein
Surefire G2X is only about $70 from brownells. 200 lumens, but no pocket clip. You can get them in either single or dual output models.

Mark K
Got this one last week, and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW> Multi modes - High, med, low, moonlight, strobe, SOS, and Beacon. I about sent a co-worker into a seizure with the strobe. It is OH, MY GOD bright on the brightest mode. This is what I wanted for the defensive use of it, and the other modes make it very versatile for EDC. Aglifter
They are a little expensive, but I now carry, and have provided a few more, of these. (Eagle Tac D25 Clicky)
Round_Gun_Shooter
I am a little late to the party but my daily carry is a Surefire L4 LED which is 120 Lumens. Brighter than I thought it would be. I have a Z2X that is rated at 200 Lumens but the L4 seems brighter in a dark space. My next, as soon as my Surefire rep gets me one, will be the 500 Lumen PX2 Fury Tactical. I like the Surefire product but I have a friend that takes very good care of me so I get to try them all.
