You mean this one:

http://www.blade-tech.com/Pro-Series-Competiton-Single-Mag-Pouch-pr-1178.html

I dunno. Here is the rule:

Magazine carrier must:

A. Be designed for concealed carry and suitable for all day

continuous wear.

B. Be worn on a standard belt of no more than 1 ¾” width that

must pass through the belt loops on the shooter’s pants.

C. Hold the magazine with enough tension to allow it to be

turned upside down and retain a fully loaded magazine.

D. Cover 2” of the magazine as measured from the top of the

cartridge rim down the back flat of the magazine tube.

E. Cover the entire front face of the portion of the magazine

inside the carrier. The front face is defined as the side of the

tube away from the shooter’s body.

F. Hold the magazine within 10 degrees of vertical (80-100° to

the ground) position on the belt, no substantial forward or rear

cant.

G. Be worn in a belt location that will position the front edge of

the carrier behind the centerline of the body.

The way I am reading it, the cut out (being the side where I would put my index finger)is not the "front" on the bladetech linked above. With that being said I could be reading it wrong.

I went back and looked at the cut after you relpied. You are correct. There is a small area on the "front" that is exposed.

So that being said I am quessing it does not meet the requiered rules. It meets all the rules except that one being the front face must be coverd. That cut out is the end game to this question enless someone knows better than what Im reading.

IF the whole mag sets in at 2" deep, then i say it would be legal..

E. Cover the entire front face of the portion of the magazine

inside the carrier. The front face is defined as the side of the

tube away from the shooters body.

away.. i take that as the outer side away from the body not the front or back side ,as long as the mag sets 2" deep in the holder..just thinkin....

i have some of the older ready tactical 1911 pouch with the cut away from the shooter, some thing like this M14/FAL pouch, and used them until the rule was changed..http://www.skdtac.com/Ready_Tactical_M14_FAL_Mag_Pouch_p/rdt.111.htm

the front cut comes around to the side, so is the part away from the shooter, and the mag only sits in the pouch 1.75 deep (sti model) to the bottom of that slot, so I would say it doenst comply with the written rule,

So I need to measure the part of the mag that has the cut out in the front. The part facing away from me.If its 2in or more than its legal. As far as the cant.It can be adjusted so as it is vertical.I'll let you know what i measure.
