BigDave
Doug Koenig signs sponsorship deal with Smith & Wesson I thought this was interesting...
spook
I wonder if he'll start shooting wheelguns in competition. That would make things even more interesting.
warpspeed
It will be very interetsing to see what he shoots. I doubt it will be a wheel gun.
rhino
I'll bet he'll shoot in all three of the "street gun" divisions. They make a 1911 for Limited 10, obviously they have their excellent revolvers, and then you have the 5906 for Production. All excellent choices! eerw
Always interesting..be cool if Smith get back into the competition circle again.. could always be a tricked out 22 for STC, masters or Steel Challenge..or a tricked out 952 for Bianchi cup or (gasp!!) back to a wheelgun for Bianchi.. maybe just a plain ole SW1911 for IDPA.. guess we will see this year.. TriggerT
With S&W now making a 1911 style gun the possibilities are almost unlimited as to what types of gun they will have for DK. Sure as heck wouldn't be hard for them to come up with an open gun out of their custom shop, and just base it around their 1911 gun.
schmitz
Wheel guns are real guns. Unfortunaly not for me, but for Spook, yes! DK is a Top Gunner. I'll see what happens next with the S&W 1911-style guns, good to have'm back in the cycle DVC, Wile E.
warpspeed
I imagine that he'll do like Jerry M. does in shootng a S&W where it doesn't give him a disadvantage like @ The Steel Challenge but switch back to the hi-cap open gun for USPSA.
Ross Carter
Doug is a very talented shooter, one of the best ever. Whatever they have him shoot he'll be a threat with. Congratulations, and best of luck to him. And O yeh he's a nice guy too.

Chuck D
That's great news.... For S&W fans like myself...we've had little to cheer about since Brian and J. Michael Plaxco wore the S&W banner in the 90's. One of the smartest moves S&W has made.
