ParaGunner
I just got my first ice magwell for my Para and did some reload practice today and noticed some dings in the insert. How often do you changed your insert because of wear? Or how long have you had the same insert in?
Aircooled6racer
Hello: If you don't miss the reload they will last forever I have seen some inserts that are over 3 years old and still look great. Your results may very. Thanks, Eric
Flatland Shooter
Even if you miss the reloads a bunch, they seem to last forever. I got an extra insert when I purchased the gun. After over two years of matches, range practice and dry fire practice, just a few scratches. Definitely not worn out. As for the extra insert, I don't have a clue where I put it, but its here somewhere. Bill
ParaGunner
Thanks guys Mine came with a black insert ,but I will be ordering a white insert when they become availible for Paras. I will say that the Ice magwell is so much slicker and faster than the old aluminum DP magwell.
Seth
I just replaced my first. It was chewed up something terrible. It lasted about 2 years and a zillion dry fires. It was no longer covering the aluminum at the thinnest point.

ParaGunner
Nobody else wore one out from crappy reloads! It's looking like I'm heading in the same direction after all the nicks I put on mine after 1 practice session

Kyle O
Well, I just ordered my first one 2 minutes ago, the bottom of my stock glock is looking pretty rough these days, the bright side is my reloading technique has to be at least ok to hit that skinny little hole as is. With this thing it'll be like cheating now.
Corey
I have 2 inserts. One i use for dryfire on my SS gun is pretty chewed up. When i go to matches I swap the other one on it and go have fun. even the dryfire one has plenty of life left.
jhernandez
Hi Guys, I make my own mag well and my question is, Can I use the insert for customized mag well? Thanks
Kyle O
As long as your customized magwell has the right dimensions, then the insert should clip right in.
Flexmoney
You guys that are chewing them up... Are you practicing 'going fast' or are you practicing 'looking' the mag in? What do you see?
Team Amish 1
Nobody else wore one out from crappy reloads! I exchanged mine after 9 months or so because the metal was peeping through. I am pretty sure it's from reloads, too. (What else could it be?)
Seth
You guys that are chewing them up... Are you practicing 'going fast' or are you practicing 'looking' the mag in? What do you see? I wore the thinnest part away where the magwell meets the grip.

What do you see? That's why I'm practicing so much I'm trying not to let the timer get the best of me and rushing.
AWLAZS
You guys that are chewing them up... Are you practicing 'going fast' or are you practicing 'looking' the mag in? What do you see? Flex, I practice both. I also practice moving and reloading. Every now and then I forget to look the mag in and its not pretty.
