BCG Lube

Just out of curiosity, does anyone use Brian's Slide Guide to lube the BCG and parts in their ARs? If not, what does everyone use?

I've been using the machine gunner's lube from LaRue and it's been great.

Never tried Slide Glide on the BCG.

I've always used Breakfree CLP.

Seems to work just fine.

Breakfree only on the BCG - you don't want lube attracting and holding on to grit, brass shavings, etc. I use a tiny amount of slide glide on the trigger, Hoppe's #9 for the barrel and breakfree everywhere else. I do wipe down the upper and BCG w/ breakfree each night of a match to keep it nice and wet.

Still have a ~1/2 quart

I started off using it, but have since switched to Breakfree CLP. I figured the Slide Glide was more $$$ and a little thicker than I wanted. I like GentlemanJim's compromise though, it'd probably be great on the cam pin and cam path still.

It's wrong of me I'm sure, but I've gravitated towards Mobil 1 5W-30 for just about everything. My AR's are no exception.
