  1. I was advised by my gun manufacturer to not use them and if used to change very frequently because if they become damaged not only can they cause malfunctions but they can also cause issues with the barrel unlocking properly.
  2. You would have to trim the mbx follower. Same with atlas mags. Grams springs and followers might work but I have not tested them. My trimmed followers for my atlas and sti mag work fine. i completely read that post wrong. I read it as mbx springs for sti bodies for some reason
  3. An 11.5 hammer spring will still ignite majority of primers. 8.5 will only work reliably for federal primers. I had an 8.5 in one of my original shadows and it would ignite cci (for the most part) and federal but was hit or miss with just about anything else. Cajun gun works for all your CZ shadow parts btw.
  4. I’ve had mine back out before. Most likely it was already backing out some and you just didn’t notice it. Rts2?
  5. I’ll save everyone the trouble. Atlas Gunworks.
  6. I run a 17 with 2 coils cut and had no issues in any of my open guns with a multitude of different priners used. Even rifle primers ignite. The recoil spring is going to depend however. The lighter loads your going to want to play with those.
  7. I’d suggest getting a few different spring weights to test for the recoil spring And go with a 17pd hammer spring.
  8. I’d have to say it’s because of the added ammo in the magazine. 23 in a 140mm and can sometimes squeeze 24 in there. They do offer some heavy projectiles for 9mm. Largest I’ve seen was 160 iirc. A 160 at 1050 would easily make power factor but I don’t think it would be that enjoyable to shoot.
  9. I’m not sure. I don’t shoot 357 sig and I definitely don’t shoot 9maj out of an uncompensated gun. I don’t think I would want to use either for uspsa limited division when I can push a 180 grain bullet at 950 fps.
  10. I don’t think dropping the pf floor is necessary in any divisions in uspsa. Unless it’s to 160 like in ipsc for open division. Limited was never meant for 9mm guns. I think In ipsc the minimum pf for standard division is 170 for which is basically what limited is for us. They have plenty of options available for 40 caliber platforms 10mm platforms and they can also use 45 acp or 357 sig.
  11. Have any of your buddies shot a 9major load out of an uncompensated gun? I know I wouldn’t want to. Even with a heavier grain bullet like 150 I don’t think it would be very pleasant.
  12. I can clear my shirt and draw faster from appendix then I can throwing a cover garment like a vest or other cover type garment out of the way on an owb holster. Albeit draw times don’t equate to much time saved on a stage so I don’t think it really matters that much.
  13. Yes. Your post seemed very lighthearted and in jest. And you in no way continued to imply that Open and limited was dying by posting those pics.
  14. Your welcome. Glad I could help even though my terminology wasn’t quite the best.
  15. There’s a set screw that’s visible when the shell plate is all the way up that keeps the large screw in the shell plate from getting tighter when rotating. Sorry you’ll have to to forgive me as I don’t know the technical terms for these parts but that’s what sounds like the issue is to me.
  16. Hmmm. Do you have the set screw for the shell plate tight?
  17. The same ones that are trying to get power factor lowered too
  18. You continue to pull up stats showing lower numbers and I can do the same with matches with higher numbers in open and limited. I’m not sure I’d consider any of this statistical data to represent open or limited is “dying”.
  19. I’d have to say open isn’t going anywhere…. Sure everyone that was playing in production went to CO (for the most part) and some of the open shooters went to CO. But it’s still going strong and in some cases there’s even more open numbers then CO.
