  1. If it was up to me carry optics would mirror ipsc rules as would all other divisions. I still don’t understand our rules vary so much from ipsc.
  2. I paid limcat money because I wanted limcat customer service. When buying an open Gun get prepared for breakages. When not if that happens you want a company that will stand behind them.
  3. I doubt it. IPSC typically has more sense when making divisions.
  4. With our club it’s whoever volunteers for the job. When the last MD was in the position and I noticed he wasn’t really into it anymore I took over. Then when I had had my fill of dealing with the board at my range I stepped down and another guy stepped up. Seems like every 2 years or so we change MDs.
  5. There’s no Checkin before the match? So how does the person handling the tablets know how to balance out the squads? How does he know who to delete because someone didn’t show up?
  6. 155s for reloads and 170 to start a stage unless it’s a classifier and a reload is required then it’s 155s. I’ve never seen the point of buying 140s for open.
  7. Who’s saying anything about before the match? We’ve been talking about during and after you sign in at registration for a match. Also your scenario at the bottom is kind of obtuse don’t you think? If you shot the AM section then you’re done with the match. If you’re shooting the pm section and you haven’t checked in yet then what could they do?
  8. Okay, that doesn’t mean it’s a blanket rule for every club though. The rules even state what idpa considers a cold and hot range. 2.11 also says “club” not range. Therefore it’s up to the local “clubs” discretion. Not the ranges rules*
  9. I mean, yea. You can definitely think that lol. Test it out for “science” at the next match and see how it goes. I’m curious.
  10. Hot ranges just means guns can be loaded but still must be handled under the supervision of an SO. Cold ranges with hot bays still also must be under the supervision of an SO. I’d imagine that even under idpa rulebook of hot range that if someone just went to a bay and started blasting it would still fall under unsupervised gun handling.
  11. I know, I’m aware of that. Some people have been saying however that even after signing in at the match that they can go and do whatever so long as it’s not on those competition bays. Which just isn’t the case. I won’t argue that there’s no foot to stand on if the person hasn’t signed in the morning of.
  12. Almost everyone yes. But it’s obvious from some of the other comments that no the distinction hasn’t been made clear.
  13. I don’t want to DQ anyone. But if someone sings in for a match and then goes and starts playing with guns and something happens then that could look bad for the club. We have strict safety rules for a reason.
  14. Opinions can vary but the fact of the matter is you are on that range and signed in for a match and therefore under that ruleset.
  15. I would say the scenario you just provided is rather different than being signed in at a match and being on the range.
  16. Are you or are you not under a sanctioned ruleset at that time?
  17. They have the absolute best customer service over there. Which is extremely important when getting an open blaster. s#!t breaks. But even more so with open guns.
  18. Call Julian and ask what their lead times are and he can give you a good estimate.
  19. It took a little less than 3 months for my second one.
  20. I want to say I dropped it down to 3.1 maybe even 3.0 with titegroup at 1.130 for the shadow 2 and I had a low 130 pf.
  21. Morally speaking someone should be helping instead of doing that but I’m not sure the exact answer here if they haven’t checked in yet. I know the answer and what I would do if they had checked in with registration
  22. I was loading blue bullets 147s at 1.130 for a shadow 2 when I had one. Some chambers are deeper but from most folks that run s2s they’re lucky to get 1.130 and it work reliably. I never had any issues with accuracy at that oal.
  23. Hs6 with a 115 grain bullet works pretty good at minor pf velocities to work a comp. And it’s not too dirty considering.
  24. I think it’s going to be up to match officials at that particular match.
