  1. Any idea on when the next shipment might be? I’m gonna need two more 8 moa ones when they do.
  2. I ran the cmore for a year before going to the romeo for about 6 months. I’ve had two go bad on me in 6 months time. I’ve never really noticed the “flicker”
  3. Imo the dot isn’t worth the price. I can’t run something that makes me question it’s reliability. I’ve moved away from them and went to the ftp alpha dot. With the price of the optic and the amount of reliability issues I’ve had I don’t see the point I am constantly wondering when it will shift zero again or when it simply just won’t turn on.
  4. Aren’t the .356 special order? I’ve used nothing but the .355 in all my guns except for my open guns Never had any issues with grouping for uspsa and idpa applications. I’m not shooting bullseye competitions.
  5. Rts2 and the Romeo are supposedly compatible as well from what I’ve been told. Mounting pattern that is.
  6. Can anyone confirm if an FTP will fit the same mount as a romeo 3 xl?
  7. A 135 is a great middle ground weight. Not as soft as a 147 and not as snappy as a 124. Nice slide velocity and softer then a 124.
  8. Can anyone point me in the direction of a Mitchell custom right side mag release. I cannot find one anywhere online an it appears others are searching as well.
  9. I remember lane saying on a podcast about sao in CO that he would switch to one as soon as the rule was changed. If a national level competitor would switch then there’s obviously some advantages there. Just saying.
  10. They’re like 5 grand if you catch them in one of the deals they’re running constantly. For not a whole lot more you could go full custom like limcat or some other 2011 builder like that. I’m in love with my limcats. Fast turn around times for a custom build and the customer service is top notch. John builds some amazing 2011s and Julian is too notch in the customer service department.
  11. Carry optics has become so bastardized at this point I say give them 2011s magwells and small single port comps and just make it open minor. While they are at it they should lower the PF of major for open to 155. It’s the shooter not the equipment. I would like to get a honcho and play in Open poor some and be able to (under some safer pressures) be able to run 115s in my limcats for major pf.
  12. I recently acquired a STI DVC open gun. It came with 6 sti mags an I’m not too familiar with sti stuff. Can the gun run mbx mags? Are the mags that I have gen 1 or gen 2? How do you tell? Since I plan to use this gun for steel challenge only I was thinking about getting some 140s in their place and offloading the old sti mags that came with it but I want to be sure of their value and wether or not the gun can run with mbx mags. I would assume yes but I’d prefer a definitive answer from people more knowledgeable then me.
  13. RIA are actually a great platform to build on for cheap. I’d suggest getting it and changing out the internals yourself or sending it to someone. I think there’s a company that specializes in taking those pistols and tuning them up into a real nice piece.
  14. Can anyone vouch for the “arm or ally” website for purchasing once fired 9mm brass? Looks like some really good deals but I’ve never heard of them before. Or some suggestions for places to get once fired 9mm brass in bulk…
  15. The carry optics match is not a sanctioned part of the level 2 match. It’s basically a side match. Troy has already addressed this
  16. When I use to shoot CO and had a cz I was using gram springs and followers with taran tactical +5 base pads. 23 in the mag and reloadable. I had a couple of mags I could squeeze 24 into them plus one in the pipe to start out on a stage with.
  17. I never once stated that we should just pick the ones we liked. Pretty sure my post said I would be down for mirroring ipsc rules. That means in a whole.
  18. Majority of the stuff in the RO class for uspsa applies to scsa. The division rules The safety rules. A lot of the procedural rules and the scoring. I don’t really see the analogy of saying “I wouldn’t take an idpa SO so I could take a uspsa ro class. The nroi is already spread thin with people to teach classes. To setup a complete other course with different course materials and teachers when majority of the lessons in the uspsa ro class apply seems kind of pointless. It seems to me that people just like to have things to complain about instead of just going and taking the class.
  19. I would definitely be down for us mirroring ipsc rules. 160 pf for open 170 for limited. 15 for production and 15 for CO and 32 rounds for pcc shooters
  20. It’s a little of both I’d wager. But people definitely love not having to reload 3 and 4 times a stage.
  21. It’s up to the RMs discretion. But I’d wager most RMs aren’t dicks and that if your main gun is giving you issues and you have a backup that meets division requirements and it isn’t a significant advantage to switch to said backup then they would let that person switch. I don’t see why if all of those things outlined above are met why an RM would make someone attempt to fix their gun first.
  22. Well that just sounds like open minor with extra steps. Doesn’t make much sense.
  23. I advise new shooters to shoot lim minor with the pistol they have so for one they don’t have to buy a bunch of equipment like magazines and for two to get a feel for the sport and then eventually find a division they might want to play in. Someone starting out in lim minor allows them to run their out of the box or semi custom pistol in 9mm and have minimal equipment. Usually 3 mags loaded to full capacity is more then enough for them and then all they need is a dual mag pouch and a holster. Lim minor is the get your feet wet division.
