  1. A SUPER HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a SUPER guy. Have a great birthday and many healthy, happy more. Best regards, Jeffro (from out of the past!!)
  2. I have a question. Does anyone out there know how I can save that video on my hard disc or on a cd, as things like that on the internet have a way of "disappearing" after a while and I would like to keep that for future reference? I am a "computer ninny", so it has to be explained sort of simply............... Thank you in advance for any insight. Best regards, Jeffro
  3. BRIAN, Hope you have a great birthday, with many healthy, happy more!!! Best regards, Jeffro
  4. So as we knew it was "Siggy's" Birthday. What ALL of us didn't know was that she would emerge from the "birthday doings" with a new face!! I thought that the "Siggy-Face" was damned cool in it's original configuration................ So why mess with a good thing?? SIMPLE ANSWER: Why do we "slick up" a 1911 when we know it is already the top of the heap??? To make the BEST even BETTER!!! Hope your birthday was the best it could have been and the best ever. Know that we all love you and that we are anxious to see the "new and improved" SigLady. Happy Birthday, Char, and a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year to all. My very best regards to all, Jeffro

  11. Travis, Thank you for the input. We are in St. Louis, Missouri, but Overland Park isn't too far to go for a good doctor for something of this nature........ if need be. We will give him a call and check out that option. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to respond. I very much appreciate it. Best to all, Jeffro (Jeff)
  12. Hey......... both of you have great birthdays, and many more healthy and happy ones!!!!!!! Best of course, Jeffro
  13. I posted several days ago, here on Brian's site, about my wife's neck and back problem......... asking for any input, feedback, help, or suggestions. I assumed I might get a few responses and a few suggestions. The responses and emails I have received from the members of this site, AND from people THEY CONTACTED in my behalf is absolutely overwhelming. I have known the folks here are nice, decent, courteous people. Some have stayed at my home when in the St. Louis area. HOWEVER, their response(s) to my personal problem have just been unbelieveable. As a direct result of my posting here, I have received so much support, so many prayers offered, so much technical information, emails and calls from doctors, doctor's assistant, and people with problems similar to my wife's, and their solutions that worked, and warnings about what to avoid.............. I am just stunned by your kindness and concern. THANK YOU just sounds so very trite compared to the outpouring and sharing from the wonderful people on this site............ but it is all I can say. Please know it is heartfelt and sincere. I pray for each and every one of you.......... all of you whom I have met face-to-face, and those I have not met.......... but all that I proudly call my friends. Jeff Harris (Jeffro)
  14. Doug, Absolutely NOT heresey. I want to hear from everybody/anybody who has had good and bad experiences ..................... with mainstream and non-conventional methods. 16. Dan, First, thank you for responding. She has had the symptoms for about a year..... progressively getting worse. The pain is down the arm and on the thumb-side of the hand. She has pain, numbness, and some loss of sensation. She also gets occassional "electric shock sensation" on the thumb-side of her hand when she tries to grasp something (this is only occassionally though). Thank you for any advice and/or feedback. I do appreciate you taking the time and effort. If it works better for you, feel free to respond by email. My email address is Jeffro135@aol.com Best regards, Jeffro (Jeff)
  17. Thank you all for your feedback. Appreciate all of it and all of you. Best, Jeffro

  19. My wife has a pretty bad problem with her upper back and neck. Below, I show the letter she sent out to some of her friends. I thought one of MY friends might have some feedback or advice. ANY help or advice is appreciated, of course. Please email any responses to me at Jeffro135@aol.com Thanks in advance, Jeffro I am asking for your help with this problem. I have cervical spine problems with pain affecting my neck, shoulders, arms, & hands. The pain is not terrible. I do not take anything stronger than ibuprofen. The pain in my right hand stops me from doing simple things. I had an MRI of my neck done. Basically, my problem is: 1. A herniated disc with spinal cord impingement between cervical vertebrae # 6 & 7 2. Disc herniation between cevical vertebrae 3 & 4, and 4 & 5 3. Disc protrusion at thorastic vertebrae 1 & 2. I saw a neuro surgeon yesterday & he is pushing for immediate surgery - disc removal, bone graft, fusion, & insertion of a metal plate. I know I must do something soon, but I want to explore all options. I am interested in finding hospitals & physicians that are on the cutting edge of technology. If you or those you know have had personal experience with cervical spine problems within the past 4-5 years with good results, please let me know. Thanks, Darlene
  20. When I lay my weary head on my pillow at night, drift off to sleepyland, and dream of SigLady, she ALWAYS has a touch of Hoppe's #9 stratigically applied to herself..................... She knows that drives me wild. Damn............ I just hate to awaken in the morning!!! Jeffro

  24. Not wanting to beat a dead horse, but I bought an older but apparently well cared for 1911 (some time back), and took it to my gunsmith/friend to have him do a little "stuff" to it. He disassembled it, and the ejector was not pinned, and the two holes that the ejector "sit in" were worn somewhat "oval" (front to back) to the point where the ejector wobbled in them. He told me that because the ejector was not pinned for apparently quite some time, that the constant impact of the slide slamming the empty brass into the elector with the slightest bit of movement in the ejector, wore the holes oval, and if the ejector is not rock solid, you loose some of the "shock" that is generated when the brass hits the ejector, and ejection is not quite as sharp, and the holes will continue to wear. He welded them up and recut the holes, and I am now a believer in PINNING the ejector. I asked how the slight mass of the brass could cause that elongation of the holes, and he said that thousands of repetitions with the brass hitting the ejector at a high rate of speed that the slide travels rearward is enough to eventually cause that. I am NOT a gunsmith, and am not saying what is right or wrong, but I DO have a great deal of faith in my 'smith, and I do what he tells me. Best to all, Jeffro
