  1. Light strikes have shown up here and there, and are usually a combination of several things One is the stock hammer spring is rather weak Some carriers have a longer cocking bar resulting in less energy transfer Ammunition using very round primer faces that deflect the strike (Federal is like that) And the extractor spring can pull the bolt off center enough to cause this. All Firebird guns have high kinetic energy hammers and much higher spring rate hammer springs Jim
  2. The first batch of gen 2 mags have shipped to anodize The second batch is on the machine I cant wait to get the whole supply chain for our parts up to demand levels Jim
  3. I cant explain why, but some of the early mags just refuse to work reliably The current MKA mags seem to be quite a bit better If the mag has a notch in the rear spine, at the bottom, its an early mag The new mags also have a plastic bolt lock Jim
  4. Yes it is Counting the days, and getting all the tooling together for our first runs Jim

  11. Best wishes to you my Friend Some years back, you were one of the first to welcome me into this forum I hope you have the best of days!! Jim
  12. Mike It actually took several years to sort out mags for the Saiga, and that was a much simpler process. I have only been working on it for a few months The 10 round extensions we are making now work well, and will suffice but a better mouse trap is only a short time away. I also have to meet the needs of the people who have ordered complete guns before I start just selling parts The acute demand and need for mags is very much on my mind, and trust me I am working it as quickly as I can. No matter how much I want it....things like this , just dont get done overnight Jim
  13. I am not prepared to be shooting a match, too many other things going on...but I will shoot it just the same Looking forward to seeing friends! which seems much more important Jim
  14. Make you own! Its just a washer...5/8" id , grind od down to about .850 All it does is force the bypass spring down to about coil bind, this prevents it from venting gas from the operating system Keep the guide rod that the piston rides on clean, and use a lube that reduces carbon build up (progold lube works well here) Jim
  15. You can weld two 1919 mags and have a 10 You can buy a coupler, and use a surefire mag bottom for up to 16 Also can get 5+5 extension for a 10 Or a 2+ 8 extension for a 10 The last three options are in production right now and will be out soon But have your 922r house in order first Jim
  16. I extracted several of those from your gun at a match, If I remember correctly  I have seen this happen quite a few times over the years. Jim
  17. If the gun is short cycling it can also create the problem you describe Remove the upper and bolt carrier Look at the feed ramps from the bottom rear You should be able to determine the configuration Jim
  18. Check that your barrel extension and upper are both compatible You cant have an a4 upper and an a2 extension Jim
