  1. Production class could just as well be called Entry Level class. of the pistols used, only the glock is used by anyone after they have shot for a while. it quickly becomes evident to the users of double action pistols (with the possible exception of the Para LDA), that double action is a HUGE handicap. yes, there are shooters who can make them sing, buy it IS the shooter, not the pistol. Every shooter who excels with a double action, does better with a 1911 pattern pistol. just look at match results. as for LTD vs LTD10, so what? the magazine hi cap ban sun sets in 2004 and with the republicans holding both houses and the white house you can kiss that law good bye. 2. once again we must go back to Coopers' question of "what are we trying to accomplish?". the use of the term "tactical" seems to be used to attract more shooters who do not like to be called "limited". but, what IS "tactical"? to me tactical is the BEST tool to SAVE MY PRECIOUS SELF! if i am fool enough to go into a gunfight with only a pistol then i want the most powerful, accurate, controllable, highest magazine capacity pistol i can find. and that happens to be my OPEN CLASS PARA ORDNANCE 9X23 RACE GUN. it is hard to argue that 27 rds of 357 magnum power in a much more controllable pistol is NOT a wise choice. stuffed with winchester 125gr silvertips it would be an awesome defensive tool. for a pistol. so, for those of you pondering "tactical", what ARE you trying to accomplish? are you trying to attract more shooters? are you trying to be a training facility? are you trying to be GI Joe? define that and you will be most of the way home to defining "tactical" for YOUR purposes. but remember, they may NOT be "tactical" for MY purposes. 3. Quints story of the Indianapolis has the horror of being true. Sharon Anne L 2387
  4. since i joined this forum i have been signing my name. recently i added my uspsa #. i have not been active in uspsa this last year because of health issues but as has been said, it would not take much to find my last name. not having my name in the phone book IS a plus <G>. i know benos has seen me though we have never spoken. rio salado is my home range so it is not like i am a stranger. and thanks to a new diagnosis and a breakthrough therapy i shall soon return to work after a year of disability, and soon there after i shall return to competition. 5. yes i DO keep to southern climes. I LOVE AZ. i came to phoenix in october of 1999 on a 3 month travel nurse contract and never left. if Rio Salado is not ipsc/uspsa/practical shooter heaven, well i don't know what is. you can shoot steel every tuesday night, plus EVERY month we have 3 uspsa matches, a rifle/shotgun match, a single stack match, a 22 practical match, an ICORE match, an IDPA match, and i probably missed something. this in addition to a 300yd public range with over 20 shaded benches, a 22 rifle range, 22 silhouette range, 500 meter silhouette range, 500yd high power range and a field archery range. if t that is not enough for you, across town at the Ben Avery range (nee: Black Canyon) we have the home of the Cactus Combat Match League. there you can shoot paper/steel every thursday evening, and each month, a uspsa match, an IDPA match, an ICORE match, plus a 200 yd public range, various shotgun sports, and all the other rifle games previously mentioned. i AM in heaven Sharon Anne L 2387

  7. for GENUINE Para Ordnance hi caps go to Dawson Precision, he bought up a warehouse full before the ban. and he charges only $10 more than the pre ban price, which is about what the price would have gone up anyway. Sharon Anne L 2387
  8. my Para Ordnance p 14 running factory mags has yet to fail me. perhaps some people tinker too much. Sharon Anne L 2387

  11. as long as men find womens' need for clean toilet facilities to be a joke, you will be seen as social outcasts and out of the mainstream, as you are now. it is no joke. if you want to be seen as what you are, the majority, then stop acting like idiots. Sharon Anne L 2387

  14. American Shooter is well familiar with USPSA matches. They covered the Mystery Mountain 3 Gun in 2000 and did a fine job. It is no doubt the fault of some rookie director screwing up the editing. Scouten has spent enough time with Robbie to know his ass from a spent primer. Sharon Anne
  15. well Duane, i never did have the "balls" yet i shoot ipsc anyway. and nothing will get the whiners to the range. they enjoy whining too much. Sharon Anne
