T1 is what they recoment for 9mm. That is what I have on my 9mm Grand master. But then the guy I bought it from sold it to me because he prefered the S2.

It is a shame. Rick simpson ran it for many years and burned out. Wayde took over, both of them did a great job! A lot of work must go into this series of matches. I do not know how the attendance was up or down but it was fun!

Just received an e-mail from wayde shimoda..... The California 3- gun championship is canceled for 2010. I have not shot the match in the last couple of years but was looking forward to shooting it next year.

Two rifles 4 uppers, an open shotgun,limited shotgun I even bought my 1st sv open gun from them. I regard them very Highly. And they all work ! (even the 11-87s) Great products and innovation. Jp is the only Ar I would own.

I prefer the jpoint( thats the only one I have used. I also run an acog (with the jp reticle) The jpoint is on the forend but have been contemplating moving to the rec. I am sure there are plenty of people who have a different opinion and experiences.

GMan my bad, Thank you. Its the best $500 I've spent in a long time! I forgot to ad that I also rec. my Herrett( arched) trainer grips and they are awsome makes the gun feel lik a 1911. I got that off of this forum also. Now I have to find some ammo!

I was lucky enough to get the last barrel #125. Thank you TG REAPER for the info. I put the the barrel on my vintage '61 mod 41. I did not have any sv ammo except for Remington I shot 300 rounds the only problems I had was trying to sight in the C-more. The barrel shot great. I had some reservations about the1:8 twist but after talking to Ray he convinced me. What a great guy to do business with. I shot my last 5 shots @ 50 yards over a rest and it measured .88 very impressive for me with my current eyesite and skill level. I have not shot this gun in 25 years since I quit shooting bullseye. This is going to be fun.

I have the Norgons on two of my AR's and they work very well. I use two cinched 30 and 40 round mags and find that I still use the thumb on my right hand to make mag changes most of the time.

I used a J-point on my open rifle with a 4power jp trijicon. I liked it so much I bought the jp short Iron site for tactical class. It was the same position, I don't mind Moving the gun to use the sites but I never had the same confidence in the Iron sites, and couldn't get the hits. I now have a S&B short dot on that rifle and for me that is the way to go. . ( and for the price it should be!!!!!)

The jp-15 is not on the list of banned assault rifles. If you ship the lower to the FFl with no mag release you should be ok. I purchased a CTR-02 a couple of years ago (just the lower I aready had the upper ). The dealer was ok with it without the mag release. He called the DOJ. The mag can't be shipped into CAl. I am not a lawer do not play one on tv..........You get the picture . The laws here are hard to fiqure out. Good luck!maybe some one els might have more info

Mike gibson manufacturing makes a texas star. I have one It is hell for stout. They are great people to work with. The current price is $664.16 . They calll it the whirly gig.

I have a grand master and my marvel unit with the open rib fits under the scope mount. I have been told that the new mounts are lower and centered, mine is not. My assumption is that the STI unit is the same dimentionally as the Marvel.

I use the Safariland Levitation system all holsters and mag pouches have been adapted to that system and it works pretty well. I thought it was the answer but I seem to be the only one who uses it, at least where I shoot.

The last two years I used 55 grain federals o-385 yds but I prfer 77 grain smk's Just to lazy to load them.

Outstanding what about the winter classic? Any date set?
