  1. My casefeeder is plugging up with cases and overflowing onto the floor. It seems like a 9mm case is sideways dropping from the casefeeder and the rest keep coming because the limit switch has not been tripped. Any tip's?
  2. +1 HSMITH, IMSI make a better spring IMHO too. I think that variable rate springs feel too "sluggish" for me. I tend to stay with conventional springs in all my guns.
  3. +1 what Bender said. You have to make sure your eyes are fixed on your next point of impact before you move your gun to it. If you do both at the same time, you will be "fishing" for your target and that will cost time and points!
  4. I gotta get used to the search function on here! lol Thanks Chuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I have been wanting to shoot there,I heard it was closed to IPSC shooters. Anyone have any information on why??
  6. Whats up guys! Anyone using Hornady XTP's of FP's? I am finding my accuracy and reliability is better the shorter I go. What are you guys using for O.A.L? I had some problems with the bullet seating a little crooked in the case when I loaded them out to 1.9" I just ran a few of them at 1.10" and they were better than the 1.90" ones. Thanks for the input! Timmy
  7. I was going to get a recoil master, but almost everyone who has one has broke one. A couple of people broke them at the last match I was at. I like the "light" recoil master, so I tried a 6# variable and it is pretty close to the "feeling" of a recoil master I tried in my gun. I also run with two buffs which makes a difference too. The gun seems faster but not as sharp as the recoil master. Just my .02
  8. Jack Weigand has some great stuff!
  9. Hey, I would of re-shot it too in that case. Ive seen so many changes in the last six or so years that I wasnt sure of how it was done, but the way I was thinking was right. Tim
  10. Hey Tom, was nice meeting you at Sunday's match. I never got a chance to ask ya, why did you reshoot the classifier? I had a FTF on a weakhand string, I concidered reshooting it myself. Does the original score count if we were to reshoot it for a batter score, or a malfunction? Just curious because I have been out of it for a long time. Your second score was kicking buddy! Hope to see you a DSC. Tim
  11. I did hit the trigger on the second bounce, the gun itself works great, its the guy behind it who is a dumbass lol.
  12. Just curious -- you didn't drop it but it bounced twice? Did it come loose when your hand/arm hit the ground? Well, I knew I was falling so I strong armed it down range and being so tensed up is where I think (and a few others) is where the bounce came from. The second time it came down the gun canted a bit and when that happened, I am pretty sure thats when the gun went off.
  13. Well, I was in the first part of the stage and doing good. There were two shooting boxes, the first box you had to engage 6 targets freestyle and move to the other box and do the same strong hand only. On my way to the second shooting box, my left foot must have got caught on the (PVC tubeing) box and I lost my balance. I thought I would recover for a split second, but I fell pretty hard. The gun was pointed down range and I did not drop it but it bounced twice and turned a little sidways and the gun did go off down range. I am in no way disputing the DQ, it was justified in every way. I have been shooting for 16 years and nothing like this has ever happened, to say the least I was very embarrased. The MAIN thing was no one was hurt (a few people ran out of the way) but I got range rash pretty bad. That was only my 3rd match back after a 5 year "break", I guess I got to get right back on the horse as they say. Just wondered if anyone here has ever fell. Thanks for listening.
  14. Awsome story, THAT is what it's all about my friend! Tim
  15. Harmon, The 124's fell a little softer, but the gun doesnt track as well as the 115's. The 115's feel like a steel load compared to my friends short (4.5" with 4 blow holes) gun. That gun was so violent, it was very hard to shoot. He shot mine and said WTF!! so I think he's going back to a standard 5.5" gun soon. I shot a 38 super using 115's and my 9mm still feel better. I am thinking I might raise it up .2 grains to see if the comp works any better. The comp on the gun is a Doug Jones Titainium 4 port with two saw cuts at an angle on each side of the front of it. I sand bagged the gun today just to see what kind of accuracy was at 100 yards, and to my suprise it was 2.125"! Thats why I love Kart barrels!
  16. Here is some load data for ya! 5.5" Kart barrel w/ 4 port comp, no holes 115 Hornady XTP 8.2 HS-6 1.183" C.O.L Winchester WSR 2 strings shot, one (12 rounds) at dusk, one (12 rounds) at noon. Dusk Avg. 1479 Noon Avg. 1482 Hope this helps! Tim
  17. Acc-U-Rails would be a splendid idea for that situation. Stainless against stainless WILL gull. It will shoot loose in under 1000 rounds. I see all the post where people say IF the break, your done for the day. Well, if most parts on a pistol break, you are done for the day. I own seven pistols with Acc-u-rails, two of which have over 100,000 rounds through them with the ORIGINAL rails on it. If you have the rails done by Bob or Doug and oil them correctly, you will have the same results. The only other alternitive for your situation is have the frame hard chromed so that the stainless isn't against stainless. Just my .12 cents;-) Tim
  18. It shouldnt be any problem as long as your gunsmith uses a high quality reamer. I have a gun like that and th brass looks just fine. Just my thoughts. Tim
  19. I recall having heard the phrase "and no doing the ipsc monkey" thrown around to discourage such behavior. I love it! lol
  20. Thanks again! My first high capacity gun was (still shoot it) a Strayer/Tripp modular. Its the same as the STI is now but with better improvments. The serial number is SS026. It was one of the first kind in the detroit area at the time. The mags were quite simular to the current STI's, and to be generous, they were terrible. The new STI's were better, but had a friend with the SV's and they seem to be a more "quality" made mag. I took Craigs advice and order thoses followers and springs too. Thanks for all of your input! Tim
  21. Thanks for the input guys, I have some SVI's on the way! Very nice forum by the way! Tim
  22. Just getting back into the game and was wondering what would be the better choice for 9mm STI High Cap. What mags do you prefer and why? Thanks Tim
