  1. Very cool!!! I wanna try it!!!!
  2. It will be worth the wait! It took almost 4 months to get mine! Congrats!
  3. Actually looks good. It looks like a "Movie" gun!
  4. Very Nice I love that mount!
  5. Most pro sports teams are a business, not a sport. Thats why I like college sports, they actually play with heart! Timmy
  6. I totally understand that. I wished I didn't screw with mine but now it is working. Sounds like the over travel screw worked in a bit. Try one revolution counter-clockwise, and try it then. Tim
  7. Benny wasn't talking about altering your frame in any way. He was refering to the "top" part of your barrel where the two "big grooves" are at. Tim
  8. I did a trigger job on a S&W PC 1911 Koenig edition. The hammer hooks were not square and the depth was very shallow (.014"). I've never cut the hooks below 0.018". Are you guys cutting the hooks this shallow? Also, the sear to hammer engagement was sloppy. After squaring up the hooks and cutting the primary angle on the sear to be perfectly parallel with the hooks and adding a little more tension to the sear leaf on the sear spring, his hammer follow disappeared. I was very surprised to find this. In fact, I thought that someone else had worked on the gun and messed it up. He told me I was the first to work on the gun. I've always heard good things about the Koenig hammer though. My Open gun and Steel gun both have a Koenig hammer. I bought them about a year apart and from two different sources. Both hammers are identical in size, both have the hammer hooks at .021". What method of measuring did you use to come up with the .014"? My Open gun has a 1.00 lbs. trigger and my Steel gun has a sub 1 lbs. trigger. I would say that each gun has approx. 30,000 rounds through that trigger job, with the Koenig hammer. I have never seen a "Bad" Koenig hammer, not to say that their isn't, maybe someone messed with it like you said.
  9. What pound recoil spring are you running in your open gun?
  10. Through out reading this, I think back to when I joined the sport in 1989. The "prize tables" were only a card table set up to show what the top five or so were going to win. People in this sport do spend a lot of money on equipment. I think Jake makes valid points, it must be earned, its not like a 8 year old's birthday party where everyone gets the same prize. I personally like a plaque or a nice certificate, prizes dont mean that much to me, all that does matter is how I shot the match. I have met a couple people in this sport many years ago that were in it for prizes, free stuff, the dollar that fell into the toilet, and that just is not the way this sport was constructed. People like Jake (who I have never met) like this sport because of the challenges and has a passion for this sport. He is very talented and has incredible focus on his goals as a shooter. I think we need more shooters like him. Prizes shmizes, just go have fun and do good! Tim
  11. Is slide glide any good for a cone comp'd barrel (cone/slide lockup) ? It seems to work ok on the lugs, anyone else use it for these parts?
  12. With NO round in the gun? Meaning the gun malfunction as described with nothing at all in the gun. The plug is tight! I have used both, I have narrowed it down to the link, slidestop, barrel and slide relationship. I'll find out tonight when I get it looked at by Doug. Thank you very much for all your help guys! It is very cool that you all took the time to answer the posts!!!
  13. No, sorry for that. I was just trying to find Kart barrels, I guess I forgot about the "bull" part of it. Sorry.
  14. Midway I found some, take a look and see if they have what you like.
  15. I got mine through Doug Jones of Acc-u-rail. www.acc-u-rail.com I got mine through Doug Jones. www.acc-u-rail.com
  16. Yes they do, I have a Kart bull in my SS .45acp.
  17. The slide stop is round (.199) One other thing too is the link has more slop side to side than usuall also. Maybe I should get new link and pin.
  18. I took out the barrel link and it is out of round, could this be a problem? It measures .2090 in one direction and .2180 in the other.
  19. OK, here is the problem. When shooting, sometimes (1 out of 20) the slide doesnt go into full lock up. It is approx. 1/8" out of battery. I have done everything with my loads and today I went to the range and I was doing reloads and the mag I inserted fell back out. I figured instead of unloading, I would just shoot it. I fired that round and that same thing happened with out a round in the chamber. In normal shooting I can push the slide shut "thumb it" sometimes on the heavy side. I did this same thing on an empty chamber. Anyone got any ideas??
  20. It didnt come with one. I called Dillon then and they told me they were not using them anymore.
