A couple guys told me I should post this for people like myself who want to use an M Die (station 2) before powder drop (station 3)…. 3500 loaded, not one crooked bullet or deformed case.

A little background on this pistol... The slide is aluminum as well as the frame, so the fit is poor at best. The underside disconnector rail on the slide resembles the standard slide but is higher up inside the slide. It has no firing pin stop and that area is rounded up into the disconnector rail. Hammer hooks are at .019" and sear engagement are perfect. The Koenig hammer and EGW sear that are in it are ok but the hammer could be a few thousands taller to make sure the hammer is pushed past the sear nose. A standard 45 or 9 would have the velocity to ensure the engagement happens but this 22 is, well, it's a .22 lol Tim

So I purchased a Walther / Colt .22 for my daughter a couple years ago. One of the hammer hooks broke off so I replaced the hammer with a EGW hammer and I’m noticing that the slide barely cocks the hammer. I noticed the cheap MIM hammer that came with it si approximately.015” taller (see pic) than any of the hammers I use… Anyone know of a taller tipped hammer on the market?

Ughhh, well, that kit should do the trick..... I'm sure once it's all back up and maintained properly you'll love it... I have several hundreds of thousands of rounds loaded out of my SD...

^^ This!! If those nylon bushings are installed dry, they will wear out.

I’ve never had an issue with them, installed hundreds… they are not drop in, takes some fine tuning with the firing pin stop and spring positions. TB

Yes, you can find them but not common due to unreliability in the .45acp.... TB

What recoil spring you have in it?

Lighter slide would not cause stove pipes... generally it’s when the load can barely open after firing so in theory, it’s not the weight of the slide but more the recoil spring is to heavy or the load is too weak. TB

Not true, I’ve ran 20,000+ 9mm loaded out to 1.150” without any issues... many here have no issues at all when the gun is built correctly.

This is a Cheely grip, I loctited the screw in the hole. I then cut off the top and hand checkered it.

My Gen 2 mags run flawless out of the bags... 9mm 1.150”
