    Couple ts questions

Both my 9mm TS ran fine with factory spring and sub-minor loads down to around 115 pf. Didnt try anything weaker than that. Ejection wasnt forceful, but the guns ran fine.
  2. Since they could compete with them in minor just fine, my guess would be not true

    TS 40 ammo

With Montana Gold 180gr JHPs, the furthest I could go was 1.141. Dialed it down to 1.135, like everyone else, to have some margin.
  4. The CZs are already being used in competitions around Europe, and I think quite successfully, so hopefully after market stuff will grow.
  5. But their 3-gun triggers are the only single-stage ones, right? I bought a Timney to try out. Hopefully that will work better than the JP one.
  6. The number of people that want to shoot PO is low. The number of people that would actually leave USPSA to go shoot PO somewhere else is a percentage of that. End result, a very low number unlikely to have a measurable impact.
  7. But it's a SIG And it's about 2x the price of this: http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-scorpion-evo-3-s1-pistol/
  8. Though I dont necassarily disagree with the logic of your first statement, quite a few people have been busted right after crossing the border after buying magazines out of state. Sure, there's a slight difference between leaving the state with the intent to buy and "import" a magazine and coming here for a match, but it's a thin line to walk with a potential felony. On your second statement, CA Penal code talks about a rifle having the "capacity to accept a detachable magazine" and I think it would be fairly easy for a DA to argue that a rifle without a magazine catch can accept a detachable magazine. Though, in this case its a moot point, since a visitor can bring in rifles for organized matches. There's also no need for a handgun and ammo to be in separate locked boxes. The glove box is explicitly listed as not being an acceptable locked container for a handgun. The trunk is though.
  9. The 9mm one. I single loaded 20 rounds of each of the 128 pf ammo as well as the 140 pf ammo (measured in my handguns). Not a single one of the 128 pf rounds had a hammer follow and all of the 140 pf ones did. Im guessing its just borderline working with the lower pf ammo and the extra recoil force with the hotter ammo is enough to push it over the line. 12 pf isnt really enough of a safety margin... Guess I'll have to try something other than a JP trigger to get this thing running safely.
  10. I need to play around more with my YHM upper, but jp trigger + jp hammer + SCS didnt seem to be a great combination for the lower. Need to try it with a regular buffer and spring to rule out the SCS, but in its current setup, it will start to hammer follow with anything over 135 pf.
  11. I agree with Andy here. We've also tried this and one anywhere, even with a full 308s, is much faster than two anywhere with a .223. You'd have to have a lot more steel than paper targets for .223 to even come close.
  12. California Penal Code (PC§ 30665) allows you to temporarily import an "assault weapon" for sporting purposes. However, no equivalent exists for "large capacity magazines". One could argue that the spirit of the law probably was to also allow for magazines, since it would be kinda silly to allow people to bring in their evil weapons, but not their magazines. Especially since, in general, the punishment for violating the AW statutes are harsher than for the magazines. Unfortunately that's not the letter of the law and AFAIK there arent any test cases either way.

    223 powder

335 is what I use for my hoser loads. I played around with it a bit for 69s as well, but even though it meters much better than VV N140, I could never get as low ES and SD as I could with 140. So, 335 for 55s and 140 for 69s is what I use.
  14. There's more mass moving around in a piston upper, so everything else equal, it's not going to be as smooth as a DI equivalent. Not going to hold you back much though. If you have one, shoot it, but theres no advantage to a piston upper over a DI one for 3-gun, which is why you dont really see them around much.
  15. Nationals? That's pretty weak. They should make it a World Championship!
  16. The .40 TS is somewhat picky with ammo. I had a pretty hard time finding something that would feed right.Even a lot of factory ammo would run in it. When I finally found a bullet that worked, I also noticed that you can't load them very long or they'll bind in the mag. So, depending on what your mag "issues" are, there might be other options rather than trying to tune the mags. And yes, Tac Sports have been a fairly well kept secret for years now... thanks for blowing it.
  17. It does matter. I want to know if someone actually got paid for that crap. Even if they didnt, that person should never be allowed to write a single line of code or html for USPSA (or anyone) again.
  18. The level of incompetence is created by members that don't bother to vote, don't bother to run for office, etc. The membership is directly responsible for what USPSA does, we vote the people into office, they hire the staff. This is not IDPA where you have a dictatorship. I like the game enough to try and make it better. Then again I never was someone that just gives up. Sure. Let us know when you find out who's responsible for this so we know who to vote out of office.
  19. They could get the email addresses from the database dump on pastebin...
  20. It looks like the USPSA website database so whatever you use to sign in there. Guess Im reaping the rewards for never signing in then...
  21. What database is that? Doesnt seem to be the member database as I cant find my address there.
  22. Not a big fan of the new site, the migration seemed pretty messed up and with Frank being Frank I'm moving somewhere else. as long as the old stuff is accessible I doubt I'll miss it
