How much fitting has to be done to the barrel?

I have used both a Tactical sport and SP-01 both work great.

That's it. Wish I had researched this earlier. Guess I have some parts to buy. lol

Has anyone used the 16in barrel with rifle length gas? I won a DPMS carbine last week with this barrel and am curious to see how it shoots. shane

I won 1 at a match a few weeks ago and Have not had a a chance to shoot it. Curious as to how the 16" barrel with a rifle gas system is going to work. shane

Mine worked great straight from Angus.

Guess I will put this thing in the junk drawer and try to find another one.

I have a JP aluminum carrier and the bolt just flops around inside the carrier--Put new gas rings on the bolt and it does the same thing. I tried different bolts in the carrier and they are all the same. None of my other carriers are this loose. The rifle quit locking back on the last round so I started checking things and this is the only thing I could find to cause it. Any other thoughts or has anyone actually seen this before? shane

I shoot one in 3-gun. Eats anything,holds 20 easy with cz custom basepads and very accurate. I had the frame and slide lightend and sanded the stippling off the grip to take a little weight off the gun. Its a little heavier than the STI but shoots just as well.

yes you can just change the handguard or at least you could. I changed out all of mine and I think they were about 100 dollars apiece for just the handguard with no nut assembly. shane

They were hung with fire hose.

I did my own and it it turned out fine. Little bit of effort made a huge difference. shane

Forgive the dumb question,but why is everyone running a 17lb mainspring if it comes with a 15lb? I just bought a new edge and will be getting it running soon with minor loads for 3-gun. Any suggestions on spring weights for minor loads running a 180 bullet. Thanks in advance shane

Which end of the barrel do you hold and if you hit the rib wont it bend? I have a win sx2 barrel that needs some bending. shane
