  1. I didn't know that. If the shooter used Atlanta Arms test Glock, he may have a case.
  2. What manufactured ammo has any text on their packaging claiming to make major or minor PF for USPSA?
  3. Do you get a giant stuffed panda for winning that stage?
  4. Separately CZC was charging $465/gun + $200/trigger job + $180/mill & refinish slide = $845 Package deal $819 Now I wait until January.
  5. Lol We had 4 at my local Steel Challenge match last weekend. I guess we only need 8 more nationwide to meet your quota. Well done 4 at a local match? Well done. Thats 30% MORE than the scored number of Revo shooters at the last Area 3 championship, and TWICE as many as L10.
  6. ^^^^^ This. I can pick up a bullet, index with my thumb and set the bullet in one smooth motion.....and because I have a casefeeder on my 550, my right hand never lets go, it just keeps on moving. I've got a few quick change setups and have adapted the casefeeder for .223 so I can't even talk myself into a 650.

    CZ accu-shadow holster

Another vote for the Bladetech with the Boss hanger.
  8. If this division was in fact made to keep the polymer pistol guys happy, I don't see the weight limit going away. The weight limit was a misguided ploy by a lame duck president to appease the polymer gun lobby for possible future sponsorship as spelled out by Phil himself. I'm just not sure if it was USPSA or Phil personally that the implied future sponsorship was promised. When this comes up for review in January, the new pres is only one voice. The rest of the AD's were in favor of the current rules. I'd be very surprised if anything changes, other than to maybe extend the trial period .
  9. If that were true, wouldn't everyone just run out and buy a G17, or whatever is the current cheapest 'suitable for purpose' model on the market? Wouldn't Carry Optics include the entire Prod Div list? If people weren't sheep, yes, they could do that. But people are sheep, and believe in voodoo. Wait, Wut? We all buy different guns because we're sheep..........Bah!!! (or is it Baa?)
  10. Last year I was having this issue with my new 1301. A real good dose of lubrication fixed it.
  11. If that were true, wouldn't everyone just run out and buy a G17, or whatever is the current cheapest 'suitable for purpose' model on the market? Wouldn't Carry Optics include the entire Prod Div list? It would unless the president did a deal with manufacturers of polymer guns to eliminate steel framed guns from participating. Our elected leaders sold out the membership. I know. Sometimes I just feel the need to poke someone with a stick.

  13. Are you shooting IPSC or USPSA? If IPSC, you're shooting Standard Division. Your gun with empty mag inserted and hammer cocked, must fit the box. Appendix D2 of IPSC Handgun Rules If USPSA, you're shooting Limited Division. Maximum magazine length is 141.25mm (double stack) or 171.25mm (single stack). Appendix D2 of USPSA Handgun Rules. I don't shoot either Standard or Limited, but I would think 3 mags would be enough for any course of fire. The 3rd one on your belt is for the 'aw shit' moment. A few spares in your range bag is also a good idea.
  14. No kidding. Before you know it, someone will bring up some crazy minimum trigger weight idea.
  15. If that's this one from the Production approved list: CZ 75 SP01 Phantom 9mm (29 oz.) then it would be fine, assuming you can put a dot on it and still be within the weight limit. DOH! I keep forgetting the weights are published on the approved list.
  16. I have zero interest in "a training platform to move up to Open" If I wanted to shoot Open I would already be shooting it. I don't think that was the premise behind this proposal at all. With all due respect, have you read this thread? And yes I know it's super long. zhunter, thanks, I was wondering if I had missed the point of the previous 70 pages of the conversation. Beyond that, I think 'Production Optics, is the already, inevitable arrived future that we can still define and shape. I'm not in agreement with limiting the division to slide only optics at all. that's like putting watered-down gas in Porsche! Anyone that thinks this is missing the whole point of adding an optic to a production gun. IF The idea is to add an optic to a production (stock gun (ie leaning towards tactical/carry)), why does it have to ONLY be slide mounted. There are advantages (tactical & competitive) to mounting it to the frame. The slight added weight decreases recoil and improves target trackability, just for starters. Because according to the current USPSA Pres "The division rules will stay very restrictive to avoid the potential “arms race” and will keep the requirements strictly in line with industry offerings.' I doubt if any of the manufacturers will offer a frame mount or frame mounted optics.

    Carry Optic P09

Is the decocker on the P-09 ambi? The description at CZC says '...the P-09 is shipped with decockers installed but can easily be converted to a manual safety with the supplied parts and instructions.' Being sinister, I prefer a gun with ambi safeties or decockers.
  18. How about a CZ P-07 or P-09? I don't understand your question. I specifically asked for the weight of the Phantom and any opinions as to it's use in CO.
  19. Does anybody know the weight of the polymer CZ Phantom? I know it's discontinued. If it makes weight, any reason it wouldn't be suitable in the CO division?
  20. Here's my advice on a 3 gun rifle/shotgun Make sure it's reliable. Make sure it's accurate enough to hit a 5" plate at 30 yards Make sure it's reliable. Bushmaster/Colt/Stag/Benelli/Beretta/Remington/POF, etc doesn't matter much if you can shoot it well. There is nothing sexy required of a 3 gun rifle/shotgun. Spend the money on practice (ammo) instead of the gun. Use what you have, don't chase performance by spending more money on go-fast gadgets. Fixed it for ya. It's a good thing we have rifle & shotgun sub-forums.....

  22. But that's exactly what you're saying. You've gone on and on for 40+ posts saying that Prod should have crappy triggers and only Lim & Open should have good triggers. You said that bad triggers are real triggers. That by having a crap trigger it's more about the shooter and less about the gun. Bullshit. Production was a place for DA/SA & striker-fired guns to play - not a crappy trigger division. Minimum 4, 5, or 6 pound triggers in DA or SA is stupid and unenforceable. Two different gauges won't measure the same trigger the same way. Two different people won't measure the same way. IPSC did it to try keep people from modifying their trigger.... BUT.... they're allowed to use OEM parts. Everyone in IPSC with an SP01 or Tanfo changes springs to lighten trigger pull. They're also allowed to polish parts for 'reliability' Read whatever you want into that. What is your ultimate goal with these rule changes you would like to see? Are you trying to somehow make all brands of guns equal? Are you trying to limit the cost of Prod guns? What is the point of your nonsensical rambling?
