  1. Damn shame to ruin a perfectly good barrel! Soon, I'll be the last one using my favorite 9X21!
  2. Show me the: PICTURE! Merlin does take BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPHS!
  3. Chuck is right, my Spitfire has a short dust cover, like my Shorty's, real easy to take apart! Good luck...........
  4. You likely have a recoil master. look under the foam in the case your pistol came in, you'll probably find the green retainer for the recoilmaster. lock the slide back, attach the retainer to hold the springs & then disassemble your pistol. or CALL DAN!
  5. NICE! Makes me want to get one, umm, another one (:
  6. Maybe a low dot, like a Doctor Sight would be appropriate? Thoughts? For me, it is more of a "retro" thing, back in the ancient times before scopes, we had bomars & comps! Doctor type, maybe just as good though.
  7. I have found myself wishing for an IRON SIGHTED OPEN gun on some close open stages! It is a mental game like Jake says, and we sometimes create our own doubts........... Ummm. I am having an iron sighted open pistol put together, just in case & just for fun.
  8. Pretty much like SHRED said. I'd just set powder funnel die supplied by KISS to spec! ( to be sure) those case mouth opening specs are priceless! I only shoot new brass, so #2 swage is disconnected on my two 1050's. Now get to shooting!
  9. Then you have to order another KISS & 1050! You can't have enough of a good thing! No, can't make Satuday gigs, have to work. Learn alot, so you can teach me some of Matt's tricks! JH
  10. If I had your money, I'd throw mine away! Good choice! Order your KISS now! you will not regret it! JH
  11. When whiners whine, always offer a nice big cup of: (I learned it here, now my favorite saying!)
  12. Shoot open and ad a *thumb rest [generic]*! My thumb holds it down! Study the open pistols.
  13. +1 Better yet, you should want to be the first shooter. Plan your preperation to be that "ready" to go!
  14. 9.1 HS-6 plenty in Bedell shorty ,same 125 zero, WSR, 1.245 OVAL From my Buddy Lopez!
  15. Well said, Sounds like the current system is making more work for the match workers and a hassle for the shooters who did not mail their applications together.
  16. I had the same issue, using 9x21 & 540(hs-6) FAILURE TO EXTRACT at a major match (ate a stage) My gunsmith was present, took the pistol to the shop, found no issues with AFTEC or pistol.... My loads all seemed to crony good till I dug deeper. Lets say I narrowed the problem to my press & powder measure. It was HIGH PRESSURE Once corrected, runs like a champ What type of press do you use?
  17. Back in the dark ages, just after dinosaurs walked the earth, some of us shot P9's (not super but 9x21) to 175 + PF, As memory serves even TGO shot them (Springfield Armory of course), ( he caused me to spend my $$$ on one no three). Perfectly fine, it can be in 9x19, 9x21 ( my favorite) or 38 super. Frame sizes are different. the 9x19 mags are available in hicap (think CZ, minor mods maybe needed) see: http://ghostholster.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=28_29 or: for 38 super http://henningshootsguns.com/shop/eaa.elite.magazines.html
  18. Here you go, hopefully they will open enuf squads so we can move around a little to shoot with whom we wish....... http://www.uspsa.org/squadding/
  19. here's the linK: http://www.usma.edu/dmi/3-gun_match.htm No Dan, I'm not going.................... Some of these guys shoot at Dutchess County
  20. Vell, itz better if then it waz my sizter..........
  21. Do it right the first time, or buy a bullet puller, or throw them out .................................... or throw them in your rivals ammo bag
