  1. Heath Ledger's performance in this movie still stands out to me. See, I'm a man of simple tastes. I like dynamite, and gunpowder... And gasoline! Do you know what all of these things have in common? They're cheap! Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things
  2. Thanks everyone! I was thinking mostly cordless with an exception for a heavy drill. I have really gone over the edge..In the last few weeks a bought a Compact Tractor (Massey GC2400) and a Sthil Farm Boss, now on to Power tools. My friends back home think I have lost my mind. I'm from northern NJ originally but this country life in Nebraska really caught my attention. Wish me luck, I am sure I will learn allot, hopefully without too many injuries.
  3. OK, moved to the country and starting from scratch on the power tool end. I don't plan on doing much fine work mostly rough carpentry, fixing a porch, tear outs and fixing outbuildings. Can someone point me in the right direction regarding the pieces I'll need and any brand recommendations? Also, if you see any great internet deals or places to buy I would really appreciate a heads up. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
  4. Thanks for the info Jade. Lucky for me I'm in Nebraska not MA.
  5. I am headed home to NJ from NE this week and I have 2 long guns and 40-50 lbs of ammo to get back to my current home in NE. A good friend's dad was cleaning out his gun stuff and he sold me these items. He was super paranoid about shipping them so they have been sitting at his house waiting for me (3 years now) Anyway, I am headed home on business and need to get these things out of his place. He is down the shore (That's the beach area for you non NJ folks) and I was thinnking UPS but I am sure there are all sorts of hoops to jump through. Can anyone chime in and save me some aggravation? Thanks in advance Jason
  6. Worked in Restaurants my whole life...EVERY Holiday and Every weekend. Off on Tuesdays, out drinking Monday Nights, Missing more the one Family gathering and losing a few good women along the way. But...no point in complaining.
  7. Thanks for the info CB. I always liked those c10s. I am looking out in rural Nebraska and Iowa to find the right truck..hopefully I'll find the classic old farm truck out there.
  8. For those of us that don't find the need to completely strip our 1911's that often this little video might help.
  9. I am looking to buy a used pickup for my new 5 acre mini farm. It will not be driven everyday but when i need it i would like it to run. I have always been a Chevy guy but I am willing to make an exception for a Truck. I like the look and simplicity of the mid 70's Fords and I know Chevy went through a little Shit spell in the late 70's into the 80's Does anyone have suggestions for a specific year to look out for or avoid ? I don't need comfort or convenience, i was thinking Reg Cab, Long Box, Auto (so the wife can pick up her own "Antiques") Straight 6 , 2wd Thoughts?
  10. Very Sad. Great memories of a New Year's eve show at Nassau Coliseum, Long Island. Megadeth Opened and Dio went into a 20 minute version of Heaven and Hell taking a pause at Midnight for the crowd to sing along.
  11. It sucks but it goes with the Gig. The first few are hard, after that it is just business.
  12. Great! The more people involved in our sport/hobby the better.
  13. Thanks again everyone. I am sure it will be a learning curve our first year or so but I really believe the open spaces are calling. I have my eyes on one of those new Savage TRRs .22. Hey....if she gets her big old farm house the least I can hope for is an ATV and a few new toys that go Bang.
  14. Thanks everyone. The property is hilly (for Nebraska) the north side backs up to a wildlife refuge (1,000s of acres) I have a neighbor 1/2 mile to the south and one 2 miles to the west, open to the east for as far as i can see. I plan on building a bermed area to do a little plinking on the north side.
  15. We'll I am a city boy but i may be moving to a 5 acre farmhouse property surrounded by other farmland. I may have some chickens, rabbits and maybe a Goat or a Cow someday along with a big garden. I assume i will be needing to dispatch a few unwelcome critters at some point and I'm thinking my JP AR or Benny m1 would be a bit much. What Rifle or Rifles would you keep handy? Thanks in advance for your advice. PS. Any other advice from our rural members would be much appreciated unless it is "don't move to the country" ...my wife already fell in love with this old farmhouse....(you never stop paying for it i guess :-)
  16. If you know what I am talking about please Chime in. If you don't, you really need to figure it out and get on down there.
  17. Colts are going to stomp them. The Aints have been coasting the last 2 months and it took 5 Viking turnovers to sneak into this one. Then again, I am a bitter Viking fan so don't pay attention to me.

  20. This year's SHOT show is going to clean out my secret $ stash... Lot's of cool toys on the Optic side. I heard Nightforce is showing some good stuff as well.
