  1. MG 95 jhp @ 1.075 with 5.4 of N340 has a PF of 114 at 1202 fps, and shoots a 1.31" group at 20 yds in my EAA, 1156 fps, PF 109 in my PM-9, Solo 1000 @ 4.3gr was 96 PF and 1012 fps shot 2" group. Also I just got some Bayou 105's to try. I'll let ou know how they work out, I'll test them in the PM-9.
  2. 1118 fps with 115 jhp and 5.0 of N330

  4. I used to use #2 and #5 many years ago, time to try it again. Went to the gun show yesterday, but no one was selling reloading supplies or powder, wasted $8 not finding anything I wanted.
  5. Here is a pdf I created with all my test data for the Bayou Bullets in various 9mm pistols. Some polymer pistols tested good in the Ransom Rest, but the XDM didn't. I'll be doing some more test with new bench rest and merit optical device on my glasses so I can compare my old reading to my new ones. Enjoy and remember YMMV. Bayou Bullet Load Data .pdf
  6. If you are wanting pure accuracy, then a 115 JHP at 1.085 loaded with 4.8 to 5.0 of N340. Bullseye shooters are using this load with Nosler 115 JHP or Hornady XTP. I use this load with Precision delta 124 JHP. Another powder for extreme accuracy is Alliant Power Pistol. 5.4 to 6.0 grains with 124 JHP depending on OAL I use 1.120 with PD 124 JHP and this powder. I also did extensive testing with my Ransom Rest. My best RR group in an EAA Limited is .75" for a five shot average at 25 yds.
  7. Here is some data on my XDM 5.25. Didn't test well in the Ransom rest like Rich told me, so I benched it. I changed the sight to a .100 Dawson, and I think I'll get better accuracy with a .125 the way my eyes are. After the attached test, I concentrated on a 1" square paster at 15 yds and put all 5 shots inside the paster so the accuracy data I have may be suspect. I plan to retest it tomorrow. XDM5.25.pdf
  8. 180 Bayou 4.5 T.G. @ 1.200" major, 3.3 T.G. @ 1.135" for minor.
  9. I've never tried PDs. My bullet of choice has been the Zero 125 grain jhp. It has always been more accurate, and faster in my guns, than MGs. But, with the price jump on Zero 9mms, and .38 Super bullets, I've been thinking of trying PDs. How have the PDs compared against Zeros in your guns, as far as accuracy, and speed? The Zero's were more accurate than the PD's in both .38 super, and 9mm.
  10. I did a comparison similar to yours, and I tested both the PD 124 JHP and MG 124 JHP neck and neck. All using Winchester brass and primers, and in every test the PD's were more accurate in my guns. I used T.G., Power Pistol, N320, and N340. Tested them in my M&P pro, CZ Shadow, EAA Limited, and Dan Wesson all from a ransom rest at 25yds. The best accuracy was .75" in the EAA, and 1.04" in the M&P using PD, 5.8gr of Power Pistol, OAL was 1.120, These were 3-5shot avg. I am very disappointed in the last batch of MG's I bought last month, I can't get them under 2" in any of my guns. Although MG is a big sponsor for USPSA and I love supporting them, I have to go with the PD's. My Bayou Bullet polymer coated bullets are more accurate than that last batch of MG's My next order will be 10,000 PD 124 JHP's and I'm sticking with them. I loved Zero's when I used to be able to get them, but now I get PD's delivered in 3-4 days so they can count on me being a customer for a while. I have a huge speadsheet of all my data and if you do a search, you should find it somewhere on this forum, and at Bayoushooters.
  11. Here's what I got on my test the other day. Crimp was .380. Gun used was my EAA limited which is my most accurate 9mm. I could have probably done a little better but I had the wrong shooting lens in my glasses. 12. Tested some 125's with 3.8 of tight group. 1.150 OAL, Win primers mixed brass. 10 shot group benched at 15 yds gave me a 1.29" group with my EAA Limited. This is an awesome group for these bullets, probably the most accurate test so far. Makes 130PF
  13. I tested some loads today with Tightgroup, 3.8 gr @1.150 Bayou 125. 131 PF shot 2" 10 shot group at 25 yds with my Shadow.
  14. Sent you some Bayou Bullet data

  15. Here is all my load data on Bayou bullets 125 and 135gr bullets with different powders and guns. Hope this helps you. Bayou Bullet.pdf
  16. Well Rich was right the my XDM did terrible in the ransom rest, but it didn't do much better benched. Not happy with the groups I got benched either, my reloads did shoot better the WWB 115 and 124's, but no sub 2" groups here. 124's shot over 5", 115's about 3, and reloads 2.5". I was hoping for at least 1.5". I do more load development after the Nationals when I have more time.
  17. Put the trigger kit in and sight on,trigger pull is 4.0# and I was looking for at least 3-3.5# Any suggestions? Still feels better than stock, less reset and overtravel. Shot it today and at 15 yds standing put 4 out of 5 in a 3/4" hole and the one shot was 1/2" out the group to the left. That was with Bayou 125gr bullet. I was shooting way left before I put the trigger kit in, now I'm hitting point of aim point of impact. My match load 124MG JHP and N340 shot a 1.2" 5 shot group at 15 yds. Once my ransom rest insert comes in I'll test out farther.
  18. Thanks Rich,I'm very aware of the tension needed for polymer guns, I've tested many and got 1.1"groups from M&P, 1.2" from Glock, and 1.15" from my XD9 Tactical. You just have to know how to read your initial set-in groups I usually fire at least 15 shots to settle them in. BTW got my trigger kit in today, can't wait to put it in tonight and shoot it tomorrow.
  19. I benched mine today at 25 yds with WWB 115 and 124, and my 124MG reloads. Gun shot 115 and my reloads good, but didn't like the wwb 124 nato at all. I'm expecting my trigger kit today and my .100 sight, and I ordered an insert for my ransom rest so when it comes in I plan to do an extensive test with factory and reloads and see what this gun can do.
  20. I prefer the recoil impulse of the 125's over 147's but thats just me. I also liked the 135's good compromise but he has more 125's and 147's than 135's.
  21. I've done some extensive testing of Bayou Bullet's 125's in my Shadow and thought I'd share so it may save you guys some time and expense. I used different powders, different OAL's, Crimp, etc. Some tested in Ransom rest some benched. If there wasn't any chrono data thats because my chrono broke so I just did accuracy test. 125bayoubullets.pdf
  22. I broke down and bought me a 5.25 last week, I normally shoot a Shadow from the custom shop. I used to have and XD tactical from Canyon Creek that was awesome, but switched to the M&P pro and regretted that move. I shoot the CZ best out of all my production guns but haven't had a chance to test the XDM 5.25 yet. I had knee surgery last friday and finally got to the range yesterday and basically just sighted in the XDM and( CZ with newly installed adjustable sights). Didn't like the wide front sight on the XDM and unless I concentrated on the trigger I pulled shots to the left. When I got home, I ordered a trigger kit, .100 front sight, and extra mag from Springer. I forgot to order the guide rod and springs though. Once I put the trigger kit in and new front sight, I'll see how it shoots before I order a guide rod. It shot my 135 Pf MG 124 jhp loads fine, and also shot my 107 pf 125 gr Bayou Bullet load very accurately. Cycled fine with no issues with either PF loads. I need to order an insert for my Ransom rest and really see what the gun is capable of with factory and reloads of different weights. I wanted to do some bench testing at 25 yds but had trouble seeing my aiming spot (2" square) at that distance and had to move to 15 yds to sight in. Must have been the meds I was on causing blurred vision because normally I sight in with a 1" square at 25 yds. Plan to test with Bayou bullets in 125,135, and 147 gr wts along with MG 124 JHP's will load to an OAL .010 below where the ogive touches the rifling. I need to see what weight bullet the gun prefers. Plan on taking it with me as a backup to my CZ at the nationals next month. (Unless Springfield and TGO offers me a deal to shoot the XDM instead, hint hint). Anyway I love the gun so far, a little more flip than the CZ, but I can handle that with now problem. Jeff, I should have figured you'd get one when they came out, let me know how its working out for you, and if you have some pointer on the trigger kit let me know. Scott the video's seemed easy, this is my 4th XD but you did the triggers on two of them for me. I'll do this one myself as I'm impatient to ship it off and wait for it to come back.
  23. Rich I had one of your Tactical 9 xd's several years ago, and it shot 147's very well. I saw Rob posted about having the barrel refitted, what is involved in that? I'd hate to spend $800 bucks and a gun like this and have it not be accurate. Also When you start selling them yourself, will the barrel's be refitted? Don't know if the one I got from you before was refitted or not, but it was damn accurate. I'm shooting the Nationals with my CZ, sold my M&P because it wasn't accurate, but may want to purchase a 5.25xdm and bring it for a backup if they are approved before the Nationals.
  24. I got rid of my M&P pro due to accuracy issue with 147's I even tried a Storm Lake barrel and it didn't improve. My M&P 45 and M&P9c are both accurate. The .45 puts 5 shots in 1.1 inches at 25yds. I'll never sell that one. As per my loading chart above, I did get 1.1" out the pro with Power Pistol and a 124 JHP from the ransom rest, but the snap was too much for shooting production.
  25. I've attached all my load data for the M&P, hope this helps. Darrell m&p load data.htm
