Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I also agree with every bit of this.
  2. Guys I just like those 135gr Bayou's a lot, I'm getting 962 with 4.0gr of WST and they shoot softer than 147gr with N320 at the same pf, and the accuracy out of my CZ Shadow is awesome 5 shots at 15 yards one 1/2" hole. I'm not an accurate shot, but I tried this load at 7 yards on a human silhouette target to check the bullet's accuracy. First shot at the "5" on the head was dead center on it. Great bullet, and thank you Daniel Cook for such a nice trigger on my Pro!
  3. Just got a chance to chrono my new loads. Temperature was 73, but I left the rounds in the sun on a vehicle dash for a couple hours prior to chrono. I'd say temperature equivalent to 85. Solo 1000 was a recent lot purchased from Powder Valley about two months ago. M&P 9Pro (5" bbl.) 135 gr. Bayou Bullet 3.8 gr. Solo 1000 WSP primer Mixed brass OAL 1.135 Crimp .378 Avg. 973 FPS 10' from chrono (Alpha Chrony) PF 131.3 They shot so soft, I didn't think I was making PF!
  4. Just ordered some Bayou Bullets to try out yesterday. If the product is half as good as his personality, I may never buy any other brand after this. Great guy to talk to!
  5. I believe it is, also. In 9mm, I loaded 130 gr. BBI and chronographed them. About a month later, I loaded with .2 grains less of Universal. It was about 15 degrees cooler and I got the same velocity as the previous load.
  6. I have a Shooting Chrony and have definitely had similar results if the chronograph is too close. I've settled on 12' from the muzzle. Lighting and angle of the sun can also affect readings.
  7. Thanks, ronswin. I think I solved my problem. I took Arredondo base plates, 600 grit automotive sandpaper, laid the sandpaper on a solid table, and carefully removed plastic off the base plates until they fit. Seems to be working great. I'm getting 18 rounds without force into the Mec-Gar mags with these base plates.
  8. Does anyone know of a "+" magazine base that will work with Mec-Gar P16 magazines? Mec-Gar uses metal base plates and a shorter mag body. Arredondo bases on a Mec-Gar magazine won't lock into place.
  9. Glocktalk.com has a very nice classified ad section. Guns and accessories are plenitful.
  10. Very interesting. Almost like an updated HK P7M8 without the squeeze cocker. The caliber would be my concern. Smaller than a .32ACP. Sure love to see one in 9mm.
  11. The Beretta 92 would definitely be my choice if given the chance! That is a very nice setup you have there.
  12. Glad you got it sorted out. I, too, was in the "too long OAL" opinion crowd. I have a P16 that runs completely reliably with factory ammunition loaded to 1.125. What a great shooting pistol!

    HK P30 Sight install

You may want to check over at HKPro.com . Lots of tips in regard to HKs.
  14. Thank you very much! I'll check them out.
  15. Would like to buy these from Angus, but it sounds as if some fitting is required. Installing on a CZ75B, turning it into SAO. Anyone here install them already and able to provide detailed pics on what actually will need filing/fitting? Thank you.
