Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Wasn't planning on it but is a great idea... perhaps in the coming weeks. Regarding the Zero 125gr JHP, my favorite bullet thus far (still have a few thousand stashed)... stopped buying them when their supply dried up a few years back and when they became available again, the price went up quite a bit ... Used to get them for like 6.something cents each from Powder Valley but now I can't find them for less than 10cents per bullet and that's rough. It is more accurate than the MG out of my glock. Plan to use the ones I have left at major matches until I run out.
  2. right on... will post my experience tomorrow evening if I have time... if not then, soon.
  3. just call or email Donnie at BB and he can answer any question you may have. C.
  4. still waiting on Jager strikers to come off the assembly line :(... should be any day now... gonna order one for G34 and G17 project I'm putting together.

  5. Another new bullet I'm about to test out. Got a sample batch of 100 from Donnie (super cool dude BTW)... Loaded up 30 of these as well last night to test on Thursday... G34/KKM barrel 3.0gr TG 1.135" OAL WSP Mixed brass I did notice with these cool looking projectiles that I'm gonna have to increase my bell size a tad... shaved a little coating (very tiny amount) off during seating on a few as my machine is currently calibrated for .378" bell, which works fine with jacketed bullets... will open up to probably about .380ish to avoid this in the future if I buy more. Look forward to testing these out. Cheers, C.
  6. Well, now that I'm back I can do cool stuff like this ... I recently got some PD JHPs in (2000) to test out. Will be shooting/chronoing some on thursday to verify their worthiness compared to my normal MG bullet. I've attached some pics for those who have been curious as to the shape and design of the PD JHP offering. IMO, it's a near exact replica of the MG 124gr JHP with the exception of the larger/deeper hollow point. The MG wins for overall fit & finish but the PD is definitely noteworth (and cool looking) and if they prove accurate out on the range, I'll buy a bunch more I loaded a test batch of 30 last night to the following specs (my identical MG load for Production G34 with KKM barrel): 4.2gr TG 1.150" OAL WSP mixed brass Cheers, Chris
  7. Thanks! Getting on a plane out of here tonight
  8. Thanks for the support guys, appreciate it very much. Chris
  9. Well, just thought I'd share a few pics as I wrap things up here in Kuwait... Turned in my M-9 yesterday and this morning turned in all my gear (body armor and all issued items for out here). Heading back to the states in a few days. Stat summary as follows: -Duration/9 months -Location/4 months Iraq, 5 months Kuwait -80 combat support missions flown -760.2 flight hours over Iraq on the C-130 It's been a good hitch... made a lot of friends and had some good times and some bad times but overall a good experience. Spent a lot of my down time designing a cool match shirt for my uspsa club back in Oklahoma and almost ready to put it into production... will post a pic here once it's finalized . Looking forward to attending our November club match and building my G17 memorial project. I inherited this gun from my Grandfather who passed away in May. I'm sending the slide off to have some engraving done on it and it will serve as my alternate Production gun to my primary G34. Looking forward to it. In the pics... I'm the guy wearing the weathered "Team Glock" hat... lol... the flag you see belongs to our Commtech... it was given to him by his Grandpa and he hangs it up on every flight. Kinda cool. Chris
  10. SGT Works... I finally got to a location where I had enough bandwidth to buffer all three youtube clips of your documentary Just got done watching it and must say it's put together very well. Nice job BTW when they interviewed you! You're a Pro Anyways, just wanted to pass that along man. I've sent the link out to my friends to check out as well. The job you guys do as route clearance is awesome and I thank you for doing what you do Brother. Stay safe. V/R, Chris
  11. We just landed after an all nighter ... missed the documentary... will see if we can catch it again tonight perhaps... sure it will air again soon. C.
  12. ok... confirmed, we do get Nat-Geo... just gotta see if I'm flying that day or not
  13. Roger... I need to see if we get that channel out here as I don't watch much tv on the road... If we don't get Nat-Geo, will get the wife to record it for me and will watch when I get back home! Looking forward to checking it out! V/R, Chris
  14. this is an awesome topic... I have been thinking about goals quite a bit. My challenge is that I've been out of the sport for a while and as you know, the skills of our sport are perishable if not used regularly. I need to start reading some books... everything I know that has gotten me to current class is for the most part, self-taught. I'm at a point now where I need an outside influence to help me achieve M class. One thing I have to contribute (my 2 cents) is the introduction of physical fitness into your practical shooting routine... something to think about. During this deployment, I have gone hard core into working out and have gotten some solid results. I'm hoping the added strength and stamina will help my shooting get to the next level. It could only help. Chris
  15. GlockCanMan, Not sure if you were talking to me or the OP but I've reloaded 25K rounds since I got my machine so I'm not exactly new to reloading. C.
