Unique powder has been around forever and used by many. It should meet your requirements making major with proper work-up.

I have a G23C also ported. There's really no reason to reload differently either way be it ported or not.

I too use two desk LED lamps. Puts out a tremendous amount of light and because their LED, no heat. Forget what I payed for them, but know it wasn't outrages.

I sent my 550B back for the same reason you mention i.e. nothing wrong, just needed a "proper" clean up. Read the return procedures carefully as you pretty much have to take eveytghing off (handle, primer assembly etc) and basically forward a stripped down unit. In my note to them, I asked for them to upgrade my press to a 550C which really only entails the addition of grease fittings at necessary lubing points. The turn around was excellent < two weeks for sending out and having it back. Additionally, you could not tell the difference from a brand spanking new unit. They do an excellent job in communicating and in my case the technician who did the work called me personally to discuss his progress and anything special he may or may not needed to replace. Bottom Line: Well worth the expense to have them give your press the "love" as you noted. Only other comment in my case was I had the original box the 550 came in but because you strip every off, I ended sending in a much smaller box I obtained and saved considerably on shipping. Hope this information helps in your decision.

The only true thing by leaving the powder in the funnel is discoloration of the plastic tube. Otherwise, it doesn't hurt to leave powder in the hopper. If the discoloration after a few years gets real bad, give Dillon a call and they will send you a new one "gratis" (bet you didn't know that bit of information).

I used a simple "safety pin"....problem solved.

I'am going to go with what "yeti" above posted as it's the most logical. FYI, I have a G23 and have fired literally thousands of rounds (just about every mfg's brand) from range pick up and never had my Glock do what your experiencing. Since you're not having luck with the company you purchased it from, consider it a loss and move on "out of sight, out of mind".

I've been reloading for many years and only "once" did a come across a piece of brass like that. I don't think Glock barrel could have caused such a thing. Very strange indeed. If you happen to find a logical answer, please let us all know.

This should not be happening as I load TG anywhere from 3.2gr to right about 4.8 in a G23 & Shield. Not that SRP's should be the problem but try SPP's just for the heck of it (again doubt that's the problem) but worth a try.

I've been using the Bayou Hi-Tek with excellent results especially the H&G 68's. All are different from the various vendors so just get a sample pack as not to put out too much money for testing. Once you find the product that works best buy in quantity.

Anyone tried using VV N320 powder with this type bullet? I've got some great results with 45 acp but would like to try same powder in 40 s&w.

Every time I've called, never had to wait more then a few minutes.

4.5-5.0 depending how stout you want it. I use an OAL of 1.135 but you can also lengthen that out quite a bit depending on your specific auto. Note, always "verify" with various load data and start low and work up which goes without exception.

To the OP of this thread. I have a Redding micro meter seating die in both 40 & 45. If initial setting is done correctly at first install, you should have "no" problems dialing in your desired OAL. This I do regularly on my 550b. If having problems, might help to give the OEM a call.

Thanks "sandbagged", how I over looked that is beyond me. Might have to do with my age.

I'm understanding the min is 1.085 and max is 1.135 for the OAL. How come I see several using 1.180? Isn't this way out of specs.

Although the above inputs are correct, I have also utilize Universal Clays Tech. Quite successfully.
