  1. Just curious if anyone has tried a tungsten guide rod AND flashlight (WML) on a 17\34? Good? Bad? No Difference?

    P320 Options

If you have that many specifics, just build your own via the concierge service (sig custom works). https://www.sigsauer.com/concierge-service
  3. My made in the USA mags (with circular slot in the basepad) would not fit the 140 mag gauge with extensions. Other than that, nothing. Note, these were 17 rd mags, not 21.
  4. So based on that can we take an educated guess that these issues may be caused by a bad barrel lockup from the weaker or worn recoil springs?
  5. Thanks to all for those comparisons. Very helpful.
  6. I'm hoping someone chimes in to how aftermarket barrel chambers compare of stock. I may go that route at as well. If this solves both accuracy and chamber concerns, I guess it's a win win. It just sucks to have to invest more into what's supposed to be a competition ready gun. But I guess I've spent more for less on other things.
  7. I'm starting to think that this pistol has some design flaws that Sig doesn't want to recognize for fear of lawsuits, recall costs, and loss of contracts. I hope I'm wrong. I'm starting to think about abandoning this platform all-together. I'm just not looking forward to the cost and process of finding other options which are still pretty scarce right now.
  8. Can anyone confirm if aftermarket barrels offer a more supported chamber? Faxon or Barsto barrels seem to be the ones I see available right now.

    X5 Legion accuracy

@davsco I would take that all day, every day.
  10. Mine fits in the comptac. Just have to loosen up the screws a bit.

    X5 Legion accuracy

Are you running the stock takedown levers on both of them?

    X5 Legion accuracy

These hit or miss issues just rub me the wrong way. I really want to love my sigs again but stuff like this makes it difficult. I would be all for ditching the legion and just going to the full size but gambling on new purchases is just not my favorite thing to do.

    X5 Legion accuracy

Anyone else have any gouges under their barrel? They aren't just wear. I can feel them. My full size P320 has A LOT more rounds through it and doesn't have these marks. Could this be any indication of bad barrel lockup causing the accuracy issues? Possibly from the take down lever, which is a goguns *thumb rest [generic]* BTW. Guide rod or spring issues? I'm using the stock guide rod with the 12lb spring. Apologies if this is a stupid question. I'm by no means a gunsmith. I'm just trying to rap my head around the cause of the accuracy issues before getting rid of it. I'm not understanding why some people have issues and others swear by it's accuracy.
  14. I could be wrong but I don't thing they make a G5 35.

    X5 Legion accuracy

Having similar accuracy issues. Did some testing this morning and was very disappointed in the results. A Glock shooting the same variations of ammo did not have the same accuracy problems. Comparing a Glock 34, Sig P320 Full Size, and A P320 Legion, the only thing I've been able to determine is 1) Sigs are picky when it comes to ammo 2)P320 FS is more accurate than the legion 3)the Glock seemed just as accurate or more than the FS. I realize all guns will favor some loads over another but in my opinion it shouldn't be that much. I've been invested in the Sig eco-system for that last 3 years but am strongly considering dropping them all to go to another platform.
  16. It's pretty normal to have to shift your hands for the mag release (so you don't accidentally hit it). If the grip fits otherwise, Springer precision makes two kinds of extended mag releases that make a big difference. 1 extended and 1 extended with paddle. I have accidentally hit the mag release with the paddle version if my grip is off just a bit, which is why I have two sitting in a drawer and gone to the extended (without the paddle).
  17. Which rule number in particular is it under in case I need to clarify to someone?
  18. Also, I remember when the Wilson Combat grip module came out and the WCP320 was added to the allowed list. The gun was allowed but it's grip module on another FCU was was not. This is what waktasz was referring to. Everyone I discussed this with thought it didn't make sense. At the time I was told that Troy was re-evaluating it. I'm glad they made decision allowing Sig Owners to utilize it's modularity design.
  19. While I appreciate all of the responses, I did by no means intend it to become a heated debate. The P320's modularity has always been one of it's main appeals to me, but I'm sure it has become a PITA for Troy. When the Legion came out we addressed using that grip module with a 320 FS. At that time, Troy said that it was OK for CO, but not production due to making the gun overweight. At the time, the idea was that they were basing the firearm model by what was marked on the slide. If the slide did not say Legion or X5 (forgot which one) that they had to go by the weight of the FS as regulated by the rulebook. In my opinion, this is one the reasons for the recent decision to implement maximum weight increases. I remember at the time having a debate about this with our local "range lawyer" as we called him. I told him it that changing the grip module was no different than changing the grip panels on his CZ. His stance was that it did not specifically state grip modules in the rulebook and was thus not allowed. I told him that the DNROI said it was OK. His reply was that Troy did not overrule the rulebook. My analogy was that if we were in a court of law with no precedence, and the judge made a verdict, then that verdict would be in place until overturned by another court. So here we are a year later still debating the same issues in regards to what is allowed and not allowed regarding the Sig P320 and it's modularity as it relates to USPSA and/or IDPA. Sometimes I think it would have been easier if I would have just chosen the CZ for my competition platform . BillChunn, thanks for taking the time to contact Troy. He is the Range Master at the majority of Level II and III matches that I attend, so if I would decide to use the grip module and it's questioned, at least I know his stance on the matter.
  20. I purchased a Polymer80 grip module for my Sig P320 just to see how it feels compared to the X grip and Wilson Combat. It's probably just because it's the new "thingamabob" but I kind of like the way it feels. It's got the "blockiness" of a Glock with a 1911 angle. I just put it on my bedside gun, but I was wondering if it could be used in USPSA Limited or CO? I figured production most likely be a hard NO. I was also curious about it being legal in IDPA. I don't shoot those often but was wondering about that as well. So to sum it up, can this grip module be used in any of the divisions for USPSA and IDPA?
  21. What I found was that my older 17 round mags (Made in the USA with circle notch in factory baseplate) did not fit the gauge with TTi or Springer. The newer mags (Made in Italy with square notch in factory baseplate) all fit the gauge fine with both extensions.
  22. Just something to ponder about. TTI on the left and Henning on the right. Both fit the mag gauge. The Henning is a beefier design. The Henning base pads for the Sigs use a push pin design similar to the TTI. Not the screw pictured below.
  23. The older mags with the round notch in the basepad (I think they are made in Italy) won't fit the gauge with the TTI. My newer mags with the rectangle notch fit the gauge fine with the TTI. *EDT* Please ignore the above statement. It is in regards to the 17 rd mags, not the 21 rd as mentioned in OP. Sorry.
  24. They are in stock again at Armorycraft.
