  1. I have since switched to a grease over an oil lubricant and I’m generally pleased. I have noticed that the grease stays longer and runs cleaner. The only downfall I have come across is with sandy bays at my range. If it’s really dry out after some 3-4 hundred rounds and dropping mags in the sand the sand gets into the gun and makes it feel gritty, were oil didn’t do that.
  2. Hahahaha, agree, some people take it too far
  3. That’s a problem I run into. I don’t reload, and I don’t have dummy rounds that replicate a loaded mag. Dispute that I feel when I go to the range it is easier to load a full mag when I practice with lighter ones in dryfire.
  4. Hahahah same here. If I get to my 3rd mag something went terribly wrong. . Jokes aside, it looks solid
  5. Update. I put a DK dropin in my Glock 35 with a 4# striker spring. I’ve since gone back to a stock recoil spring and a stock striker spring and have resolved some feed issues I was dealing with. Not 100% sure how the striker spring was contributing to the issue but, I don’t notice much difference. Only at 20+ yards shooting partials I have to take more time because the trigger is a tad stiffer, but not noticeable anywhere else.
  6. Which mag tube extension did you end up going with?

    TSO

That’s why I’m choosing to go with the TSO. One cost and it’s ready to run. Thanks for the insight. I have t herd much bad about them either. Also I know a lot of guys run the shadow series in production and really like the CZ

    TSO

Thanks. That’s good to know. Is there anything else I should look out for? This gun being newer I only know one guy at the local match that shoots one. Plenty of 2011’s, I just don’t want to get into having my equiptment perfectly “tuned” to just run

    TSO

So I’m looking at getting a TSO, upgrading from the Glock 35 I currently shoot. From what I’ve gathered, the travel screws don’t stay put well. Is this because they are adjusted to the limit? Or is this this something I’m going to have to watch
  10. Since this thread has fired back up I figure I’ll offer my 2 cents. I have been folling CrossFit for 5 years now. And yes CrossFit is safe, just like running around with loaded guns. Be smart, stay in your comfort zone and you will be safe. Now back to my point. CrossFit has helped me increase grip, shoulder and core strength. Increased leg strength and the ability to move from position to position with purpose and speed. All of which has helped control recoil and manipulate the gun. I still suck at the shooting part, but the physical part is easy. Those warm humid summer Saturdays in the South dont bother me like some of the other outta shape guys I’ve squadded with
  11. I’ve gotten to the point we’re im almost out of the oil I have been using, and noticed that when my glasses have specs of oil on them after a match, the gun runs flawlessly. If my glasses are dry, I tent to have issues. Keep calm and lube on!
  12. True. I’m not saying I haven’t run a Glock very dry before and put thousands of rounds between cleanings. But I have noticed with a fit barrel, lighter spring and some polishing that towards the end of snlocal match when oil is slung out of it I tend to have feed problems. Then I go to the safety zone, oil it up and I’m good for the last stage or two without problems.
  13. Then the administrators can feel free to gernade this thread
  14. Ok so forgive me if this is a topic already brought up and beat like a dead horse..... So I’m newer to competitive shooting and I’m wondering if there are “better” oils than others that help with performance or keep the gun running longer. I have also seen other use a grease for the slide and barrel, but have not tried it myself. I currently use Battle Born Hi-Purity oil. I got it in a raffle and it works fine in all my other guns, but they are mostly used to plink with. I am open to suggestions and to hear what everyone has to say. I shoot a Glock 35 and will be shooting a CZ ORANGE in a few weeks.
  15. Has anyone using a dk trigger system found a good trigger shoe that works with the trigger travel asjustments?
  16. I’ve used the Springfield range bag for years. Has dividers to sepetate everything to keep things semi organized.... when I don’t just toss stuff into it hahaha
  17. ?? Have thousands of rounds of the 200g blue bullets through my Glock 35 stock barrel with no problems
  18. Agreed. A metal mag release has shorted the life of my magazines over the stock or an after market polymer release.
  19. Blade tech on a BOSS dropped worked best for me. The hanger stays put and adds rigidity to the holster for a better consistent draw. Plus the blade tech bodies themselves aren’t that expensive so if you change guns you can still use the hanger.
  20. I noticed the same. Didn’t matter what trigger I used, training and practice trumped all
  21. The TSO will be my gift to myself in 2019. I currently shoot a Glock 35 and it’s time for an upgrade into a pistol I don’t need to do anything too.....probably more reliable anyways.
  22. I’ve shot both the Vogel competition trigger kit and the dk trigger kit in my Glock 35. I like both but like the DK a little better because you can adjust pre travel. I run both of them with a 5# striker spring and have no problem lighting any primers off.
  23. I replaced springs as well from the ones that come with the TTI extensions to the 140mm springs by ISMI off Ben stoeger’s site. At first I didn’t have the issue then then 200 rounds later it resurfaced. ??
  24. I could use the 22 round mags as a test but they are too big to shoot in uspsa limited. The TTI extensions make it 140mm. Right at the limit. The 22 Glock mags are 165mm +/-.
