I just purchased a Model 610 and want to change out the factory front sight to a fiber optic sight. Any thoughts as what sight I should look at and can it be installed by a really bad gunsmith (me).

WOW ....disregard prev. post just checked the expected weather and now it show partialy sunny and 62 for Sat. with the rain now being forecast for Sunday. Don't know whos forecast you're looking at but mine still says just 30% chance on Sunday with cloudy skys. Saturday looks like it is still wet. Yep, 3 days 3 differant forecast's. Guess I'll pack winter gear, wet gear and anything else I can think of.

I have a question on how to best shoot this stage: Scoring : Fixed Time Targets : 3 IPSC T1, T2, T3 Stage Procedure: String 1: 2 shots per target freestyle through port in 3.5 seconds String 2: 2 shots per target STRONG hand only around one side of barricade 3.5 seconds String 3: 2 shots per target WEAK hand only around other side of barricade 3.5 seconds My questions is: Can I shoot 6 shots at T2 in first string, 6 shots at T3 in second string, and 6 shots at T1 in third string with the COF as stated above ? MY thinking since it does not say engage T1, T2 T3 with ONLY 2 shots each am I still within the defination of the COF?

Any idea as to when the apps for the match will be available? I don't want to miss this great match

Umm...yeah. Stats had a few questions about that, too. And my questions were more than curious. Currently, there is a sign in the place of stage 1 that says: "Under Construction." It will be a stage with a minimum 20 rounds, and pistol only & worth 100 points total. That is the only part that is 'final' right now. If the end result sent to me is a stage that requires an addendum to the rules (to add fixed time to this stage), everyone will be sent a message about the updates. And trust me that ANY modification will not penalize Heavy Metal, or any other class. I use the Blade-Tech for 3-Gun / Multi-Gun matches and find it very secure. I have not had a mag fall out or the gun even come close to moving while running around. The gear really takes a beating with being banged against barricades , trees, going prone, etc and it still looks good. Both companies make great stuff you can't go wrong with either one.

I thought you had and liked the new Burris scope. I have 1 rifle with the Leupold 1.5-5 which I really like, 1 rifle with the Meostar 1-4 which I am still getting used to, and 1 rifle with the Burris. Of the 3 I think I still like the Leupold that best so far.
