  1. Does anyone have a date for the 2009 Single Stack Classic? I need to get my vacation requests in and I want to make sure I have the match dates covered in my request.
  2. I think it is 2 targets at 300 yds, 2 at 200yds and 2 at 100 yds
  3. I’m a one game gun guy,,, for now, I’m collecting parts for another toy, but not in time for the Nat’s I did get out and do some practice on that Rifle Standards stage, I don’t have 300, so just at 75 yds with the 10/22 and at 100yds with my AR. I played with it. I’m not the speedy, shooter most of you folks are. But I did OK, 7+ and I can get some good hits, but the mag change,, hmmmmmmm I’ll get out and try kneeling and prone, I’ll give this stage a good. A good match to be up to speed on your off hand shooting, with all the slugs, as well. I like that the match is not a pistol match! Hey squad 3 we are the Jim squad! Jim M ammo Looks to me that Squad 3 is the "OTHER SUPER SQUAD" J. Alley
  4. Well after throwing 2 files , 1 hammer, and anything else that was close I finally got the thing to work. Boy, I don't remember it being this hard to install on the first carrier. I think the new carrier was really the problem, I had to file the heck out of it for the bolt to hold and release smoothly. Oh, and of course somewhere in the deep dark recesses of my garage are the (2) trigger plate pin detent springs. New ones on the way along with carrier release pin ....just in case. Thanks for all the good advice it helped me to isolate where the problem was, beside my lack of gunsmithing skills
  5. Thanks for all of the advice on my previous posting regsarding my install of a new carrier and EZLoader. My meager gunsmithing skills have been streatched to the limit with this. When I installed the EZloader the first time all worked well, no that I installed it on the replacement carrier all is NOT well. Can someone suggest a gunsmith that works on 1100's that can get this thing working so I don't have 1 stage per major match that I am trying to get the shell unjammed on the carrier and zero the stage. Names and contact info would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I know, change guns will be everybody's advice, but until I can replace I need some advice. At the DPMS match my 1100 locked up tight on the Swamp Romp stage. I finally got it cleard but was out of time, so I went to see the on site gunsmith who was able to do a quick fix and get me back in the match (Great job and got me back in action very quickly, THANKS). He said I needed a new carrier which I installed over the weekend. I shoot limited and have the speed feed gate on the carrier. After I installed the new carrier the bolt will no longer lock back. Any ideas as to what I did wrong ?
  7. The USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals are only 6 weeks away and I have yet to see any details about the match (i.e. match hotel, # of stages, round counts, etc.). I have looked on the USPSA web-site under the Nationals tab but did not see any info. Does anyone have any info on the match besides the date and place ?
  8. The web-site has said to check back no sooner than 2 weeks before the match for a squad list. I just checked the site and it still says the same thing. Have the squads been finalized yet ?
  9. Rodeway Inn, 3033 Hilton Dr., Bossier City, LA 318-747-2400. Right off I20, close to the Range. My daughter who lives in Shreveport checked it out, and says it is a pretty nice property. Good rates for that area. Shopping, places to eat, are close by. Bruce Bethell Thanks for the info.
  10. Does anyone have any information on the match hotel for the Multi-Gun Nationals? I sent an e-mail to USPSA but have not got a response yet. I am wanting to get my app. sent in and get a room reserved but dont know who to call for the room.
  11. OK dumb question...... what is tube size on the Burris? I have a spare Larue mount in 30mm and was thinking of outting the Burris on my extra AR.
  12. Wow, I must be doing something wrong with my revolver loads. When I use N320 I get what looks like cornmeal build up under the star that prevents the cynlider from closing after 12 rounds. Makes for a real interesting COF, fire 6 rounds get brush out, clean, reload , fire 6 rounds, repeat. Any ideas what might be causing this, gun is 4" Model 625 in .45acp
  13. Used ammo at last weekends Ky State Multi-Gun and had NO trouble with chrono. Seems to accurate but only used it at 100 yds, hope to play some next week at 200 yds to see what type of group it will shoot.
  14. Just want to say THANK YOU to Gary Welborn and his staff for another outstanding match. This match just keeps getting better and better. Stages looked simple then you had to shoot them and and things really changed. Nice balance of quick stages and ones you had to think about. Really liked the idea of a prize table "stage" speeded up the match so everyone got done at a nice time. Looking forward to next years match, again a big job well done and THANK YOU to all of the staff.
  15. In KY they all have funny accents !!! Hope to see you at the match
  16. WOW, thanks for all the good info. I think I will try a tighter crimp as I am using the same load in the 625 that I am using in my single stack .45. By the time the match was over I had clenaed so much under the star that most all of the other shooters were lined up for me to clean their guns. They said I had a lot of experience.
  17. Thanks I will try those powders and see what happens
  18. I am new to the round gun and have shot semi-autos for 30 years but am having major problems with the round gun. I have a 4" 625 and am shooting Montana Gold 200 grain JFP with VV N320 powder. After about 12 rounds I have so much unburned powder in the chambers and under the star that the cylinder will not close. It got so bad today I was using a brush during a stage to clean under the star so that I could close the cylinder. I use this same load in my single stack and is runs clean with no powder buildup, is it the wrong powder for a revolver or is it something else. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
  19. Nope, I had the same problem. It was really odd, I hit the submit at 6:30:01 and the clock changed to 6:18:00 so I re-entered and hit submit and the clsok went back to 6:18:00 so third time I guess it takes it but I go to the home page for the match. My guess is that we did not make it.
  20. Well, since I did not get an e-mail guess I missed out again. Hit the submit at 6:30:01 and got error msg, re-entered and got error msg, re-entered at 6:31:04 and it went to a web page for the match. So , not sure what is happening.
  21. Just got off the phone with Lea.................................. I'm in
  22. Does anyone know if any of the vendors from the Forum carry replacement fiber optic material ?
  23. Looks like we are squad mates, I started out on 21 with Tood, Robbie, and Mike V. but got bumped by some guy named Doug K. last week. So it looks like Squad 20 is the OTHER Super Squad !!!!
  24. Have you dealt with an online vendor called "The Armory", they seem to have a good price in todays market.
