  1. what’s your die, bullet, and OAL setup? range brass? once fired? new? do you roll or prep your brass?

try a 10-12lb recoil spring. most open glocks will not run with anything more than a 12lb recoil spring, and sometimes extractor and ejection port tunning
  3. Jp system will work with factory loads. the non short stroke system allows for last round bolt hold open. the JP GMR-15 achieves this.
  4. ? I think I need to sell some guns and buy different ones
  5. Normally call it an open gun for 1/3 the price which is kind of like mopeds ? does that make AR15's the Suzuki GSXR of the gun world?
  6. Currently run the 9mm Armaspec buffer(5.4oz) So far it seems to cycle everything(115gr blazer to super light steel loads). It's basically a 2 stage JP SCS first stage is lighter than the JP, second stage is heavier. probably one of the cheapest AR9 buffer options as well I just ordered the Taccom 3 stage to compare
  7. Just realized there’s two different versions. double checked mine, it’s the .40XL OP, any chance you have the normal .40 gauge?
  8. same happened to me when I ran my taccom extreme bolt with the weight removed. you can either: - add mass from the bolt to the buffer - lighten the buffer spring - retune your load to the new lighter reciprocating mass there's always the option of going with a heavy bolt that doesn't have a weight i.e. JP Bolt
  9. running with less weight will increase the bolt/cycle speed. may cause feeding/ejection problems if the bolt moves too fast. you can always compensate by running a heavier buffer though
  10. just reloaded a bunch of .40 with once fired, prepped range brass initially had about 20% not pass the houndo, then close to 50% rechecked the sizing and crimp die crimp die was slightly out, readjusted that. recrimped everything. About 3-5% would not pass. Ran them through the Lee budge buster, and they pass with ease.
  11. I believe you can still buy replacement ported barrels for the 17L and the 24 probably the only issue would be cleaning it, and if you are running hot loads, or dirty powder, it'll turn the front sight black after a few shots
  12. 5' group at 75 yards = 80 MOA crazy what load specs are you running? have you checked the bullet diameter consistency? I've been loading xtreme exclusively in 9mm & .40 this year. recent shipment of .40, about 10-20% are slightly undersized(0.002-0.003") caught it, because they were double feeding out of my bullet feeder.
  13. they are all different Length wise they are similar, but the diameters and where they step down will vary by manufacturer
  14. there's a previous thread on this. IIRC the consensus was the lower part of the large head firing pin causes the tip of the firing pin to cant in the firing pin channel and hit the bolt. the hyper fire likely makes this worse with the increased hammer springs JP triggers probably have the lightest hammers/springs on the market, especially with their reduced spring kit(yellow).
  15. One of the main differences between production and SSP is, SAO are not allowed in production, same for SSP. basically the rules were written for production & ssp, to be everything but 1911/2011. - if you allow a 1911 with a Magwell to compete it production, you also have to allow a 2011. Which kind of defeats the purpose. if you want to “compete,” shoot L10 lots of people shooting L10 with 1911’s at my local club. especially if you have a .40, you can choose to shoot SS major/minor, or L10 major
  16. what kind of trigger are you running? Drop Tim and email, I believe you can custom order the small(std) head firing pins.
  17. should be good, it's a very low amount of power for N320. But as long as your gun cycles, I don't see a problem. My old steel challenge load: xtreme 147gr 2.5gr titegroup/2.7gr N320 1.135" OAL Currently run the same load for USPSA & Steel Challenge xtreme 147gr 2.8gr titegroup/3.0gr N320 1.135" OAL
  18. the hundo gauge is designed to be at the lower spec limit(LSL) of the SAAMI spec so if it fits the hundo, it should fit every barrel/chamber. if it doesn't fit the hundo, double check with your barrel. If it fits the hundo, and is too large for your barrel/chamber - either your chamber is dirty or out of spec
  19. thats cause it’s a JP, lol the mag angle and fitment is near perfect, and the barrel throat is one of the largest/deepest on the market. it will have a hangup with longer OAL’s every so often, and it’ll be because it catches the front lip on the mag. JP’s standard upper is a forged milspec upper, same one they use on their JP-15
  20. OAL/Feeding limitation is specific to the glock mag if you try to feed a (HP)OAL longer than 1.135 into small frame glock, the same thing will happen. - it's one of the (many)reasons open glocks are not popular
  21. don't forget: 1. JP GMR-13/15 - On the heavier side - Awesome fitment on the magwell side(which translates into awesome feeding) - huge mag release, and an even larger one available from JP https://jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPGMR15LR-K1 2. Lead star arms LSA-9 - Skeleton receiver - Integrated feed ramp(no ramped barrel or add-on feed ramp needed) https://www.leadstararms.com/collections/receivers/products/copy-of-lsa-15-skeletonized-ar-15-receiver-set-stripped-red
  22. It's decently difficult to get a good reading on glock. The most repeatable way is to measure from the very bottom of the trigger. But, you get really low readings this way, and no one pulls the trigger from the very bottom. My setup(s): Glock 17 gen3: Polished 3.5 connector over travel stop Wolff plunger spring Wolff 4.5lbs striker spring 3-3.5lbs at the bottom of the trigger 3.5-4.5lbs at the center Glock 24 Gen 3 Zev flat trigger system over travel stop Wolff plunger spring Wolff 4.5lbs striker spring 2-3lbs at the bottom of the trigger 2.5-3.5lbs at the center
  23. yes, its what Robert Vogel uses for IDPA
  24. at 25 yards? something must be wrong, even pistols do better than that.
