  1. So, how did prizes and guns being given out go? I heard they gave away 107 guns!!! Wow.
  2. Anybody still need a room? Two shooting buddies have had to cancel on the trip in the last few days. We have an extra room if anyone wants it before we cancel it.
  3. Yes to the first two questions and I don't know about the working with the springer, I have a caspian/STI set=up.
  4. How does that coating hold up? I would like my tacticool IDPA blaster done like that.
  5. I picked up 2 of the 9mm mags and they have worked fine so far.
  6. After consulying with the family this weekend(working on the honey do list) I'm planning: Florida Open Florida State SC sectional Area 6 VA/MD sectional Summer Blast GA state Open nationals and a couple of state IDPA matches.
  7. Shoot, too late again. Hey, PM it to me please, I like to decide for myself if I like something or not.
  8. What should I be looking for when I do that?
  9. This is all cracking me up. Being the shooters we are(keeping the name of the game out of it) it's had for (some) of us to accept a match that runs very well with only a couple of rules and no real need for a rule book. My first SC match was a state level match. I'd been trying to memorize any and all rules like I do for my regular Sat. matches. At the LAMR I asked some questions and this is what the timer runner told me. He said"son, you see those 5 steel plates?" Yes sir, " when the buzzer goes off stand there and shoot them as fast as you can." OK. " then we are going to do it four more times. It doesn't get any simpler than that now does it?" We need to keep it simple. My two cents to the BOD is to leave the match structure alone. Provide some scoring software and a place to post them in return for the activity fee that would come in. Let existing USPSA clubs run matches and only submit activity fees and let new clubs join that only want to be SC clubs. Let the match directors direct the matches they run. I know more what my club needs than someone 2000 mile away. Leave the big match the way it is.
  10. Yep, it's great. I've only had mine for a month and I'm already addicted to it. I was watching live TV last night and was bummed when I couldn't skip the commercials. So, I went and loaded 500 rounds and then came back so I could All that reloading time I wasted watching commercials in the past.
  11. So, do I need to send it to you Howard?
  12. How does that tell? I put a magnet on it and it stuck, but it also stuck to my STI which is chromed and my S&W 5906 which is stainless.
  13. if a gun is Stainless steel or hardchromed? I have a caspian 1911 that I can't tell which it is. Any ideas? Thanks.
  14. Edited again. Ron, you should be fine combining the divisions. The GA state match this month did not include all the divisions. They did rimfire, rimfire w/optics, open, limited and production. Then special categories like junior and female. For USPSA don't try to fix something that is not broken. We don't need classifications and range lawyering going on. SC is THE most shooter friendly game out there. Lets keep it that way.
  15. Nemo, You missed what turned out to be great shooting weather. It was overcast and not too cold. The bad stuff held off until the match was over.
  16. There are differecnces CDP is 45 ACP only and single stack is .355 cal and up. Limited I can use a race holster, but ESP I can not and so on. Leave the divisions alone and shoot the one or ones you want to.
  17. From Steel Challenge Rules: 4. "IDPA STOCK SERVICE REVOLVER DIVISION" "Any revolver of 9mm/38 Special Caliber or larger with a barrel length of 5" or less (7 & 8 shot revolvers permitted, but may only load six rounds). No external modifications other than changing sights and grips will be permitted." and "REVOLVER DIVISION" Entrants competing with revolvers will compete in Open Class AND overall Revolver. Open Revolver has no restrictions for maximum rounds or use of optics. So, it appears that you can, but I don't really understand what the divisions really are. The rules seem to be very vague and not very well organized with headings and descriptions. I was thinking the same thing. For all other divisions you have to meet the equipment for the division( production, limited, ESP, etc) but I guess for revolver you do not.
  18. OK, this one came up the other day: can you shoot an eight shoot revolver in the double action cat.?
  19. I've seen one guy in area 6 that has the racker welded to the bomar. I'd like it just to keep malfunction clearing the same between my open and limited guns. It wouldn't hurt table starts either.
  20. When starting (low ready or aiming at the flag) does the safety have to be on?

    Peanut butter

Nemo and XD, I new there was something not quite right about the both of you.
  22. Say what????? There is nothing in the rule book that says that. If you can get it to SSP weight then it is legal there. I shot a cz-75b with no decocker there for a long time. With that said I'd go for the CZ over the sig just because I think you end up with a nicer gun for uspsa.
  23. Fireant

    Which one?

    YES, alittle or a lot?
