Back in June I decided it was time to get in better shape. I started to walk each morning, then started to run a little. Once school started back up(I'm a teacher) one of my coworkers started putting the idea of running a half in my head. As I started to increase my distance each week, I started thinking I could. 10 weeks ago, I started training for it with the goal just to finish. Then my goal was to finish under 3 hours, then 2 hr 45 min, then 2hr 30 min, then 2 hr 15 min. Here I am after running the entire 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 11 minutes(running partner is with me in the picture). Not fast by any means, but I did it. Now I'm working on taking 20 minutes off that time for the next one in 10 weeks from now. As an added bonus I have lost 70 pounds and need to buy a new shooting belt since I have lost 8 inches around the waist.
