  1. Good job and keep up the great work.
  2. Back in June I decided it was time to get in better shape. I started to walk each morning, then started to run a little. Once school started back up(I'm a teacher) one of my coworkers started putting the idea of running a half in my head. As I started to increase my distance each week, I started thinking I could. 10 weeks ago, I started training for it with the goal just to finish. Then my goal was to finish under 3 hours, then 2 hr 45 min, then 2hr 30 min, then 2 hr 15 min. Here I am after running the entire 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 11 minutes(running partner is with me in the picture). Not fast by any means, but I did it. Now I'm working on taking 20 minutes off that time for the next one in 10 weeks from now. As an added bonus I have lost 70 pounds and need to buy a new shooting belt since I have lost 8 inches around the waist.
  3. Jake, It can be hard finding regularly scheduled 3 gun matches in the north Florida area. The Fernandina club has a 3 gun match on the months with a fifth Sat. Just happens that this month has a fifth Sat, so come on up and join us.
  4. I used up the last of my Bayous and managed to find a couple of thousand of the new formula ones. The new batch tumbles like crazy. I didn't have this problem with the last batch and my current gun. Anyone else notice this problem with the new lighter green colored bullets? Nothing else has changed, same powder, OAL and crimp. The bullets all seem to mic at the same diameter as the last ones.
  5. Speed Shooter Specialtiescarries mag extensions as well as magwells to go with them. The Taylor's seem to work the best.
  6. 10 weeks out is what I was just told the other day.
  7. With today's update I just slipped into A class with a 75.02 percent. Talk about the bottom of the pack Time to go practice.
  8. Randy has done two for me. Turnaround from Florida to California and back was a week each time via USPS First Class mail. Speed Shooter Specialties can do this mod also.
  9. I've tried it with the lighter 124/5's and accuracy goes way down.
  10. Man Mario, you and screws getting loose and stripping out. You might want to get a Glock
  11. Flex, That's a pretty good recipe IF you leave out the tuna and mustard
  12. Another vote for Speed Shooters Specialites. One stop shopping for your M&P.
  13. I was at a range recently that the live round box mounted to the Safe Table.......yep, I meant to go back and get a picture of it, but I forgot to. Paint them red and mount them in the bays/lines, but not at the safe table.
  14. When I was looking for a mill the best advice I got was to go ahead and get a bigger mill. I ended up with a 10X54 BP clone and am very happy. I was told several times that one phrase you will never hear is " I wish I had a smaller mill" but you always see people on the hobby forums wishing they had a larger mill. I have about the same money in a big mill with tooling as a new hobby sized mill and tooling would have been.
  15. Wow, I'm way in the minority here. I run an 8 lb recoil spring and a 15 mainspring in my 9mm minor single stack. No reliability issues at all.
  16. I'm biased and lean towards these guys since they are local and Speed shooter specialties is owned by the same guy: Coastal Gun
  17. John's response is just an opinion, not an official ruling.
  18. OMG, it's the first time typed words have ever sounded like the teacher from Charlie Brown
  19. The question is where does it say I can not? The book states I must declare a PF, what if I declare major, then I run out of ammo and have to go back to the truck and use some minor ammo to finish a stage. Now I have to be scored minor for the match. No chrono involved, I just know I'm not shooting major for the last stage.
  20. The reply I recieved was the same as Nik's, but I still contend that the rules do not support it. Just because we want it that way, does not make it so. I think if people really looked at the written rules and not just the fact that we always bump to open you would see that. I have asked my AD to look into an official ruling. A shooter CAN change their PF at any time and this would not be a challenge to the PF, but a change to the scoring. As much as it pains me to admit this, Vince and I are on the same page here. Damn, that hurt more that a bump to open
  21. Wow, the cost for the Blockbuster type card doubled in the last 4 years, I can't wait to see what this new security for my card will cost
