  1. +1 to Round Gun, those 160 gr are just stupid soft. I have a hard time shooting them though because I am laughing the whole time
  2. Damn, and here I thought I was the only one that modded mine like that.
  3. Loading both on a 1050 is soo easy and almost fun. I have the exact setup you are looking at 1050 and bullet feeder set up for both calibers. I hate getting a crimped piece of brass in my 650 and have not used it for almost 2 years now. Get the 1050 and never look back.
  4. Yep, I used to live in Brandon. It just shows they are getting more civilized these days. Not as much empty land around I guess
  5. I believe a Cheely gun was the inspiration for this one.
  6. +2 to BadChad. It seems like USPSA is trying to screw up 2 divisions at once with these recent issues that were never issues before.
  7. Dave, I know you must have a question in there somewhere, but I can't stop watching your avatar long enough to read it. I'll keep trying....
  8. I run an 8# sprinco only because I could not find a 7# one and a 15 lb mainspring. I get accused of shooting an airsoft gun all the time.
  9. I chronoed 10 rounds today with 2.7 gr N320 loaded to 1.166OAL. They averaged 820 feet per second for a 131.2 PF. They are stupid soft and not sluggish at all. Now to check my zero and take them to a match.
  10. Out of a 5 inch STI 1911. It has a really slow barrel. I'll probably load some 2.7 and 2.9 and try.
  11. Well, I won't even mention the story of the two dummies that tried to fly out of the Tulsa airport with live ammo still in their carry on bags. They were the first two at the airport when it open that morning and damned near missed their flight due to the delay they caused.
  12. 2.4 of N320 loaded to 1.165 with the Bayou 160 gr had a 10 shot average of 750fps for a 120 power factor. I'll bump it to 2.7 and try again on Sat. These things are stupid soft.
  13. What OAL was that? I'm going to try some starting at 2.5 gr and chrono this afternoon. Without changing anything but the powder drop on the 1050 the 160 grain bullet comes out at 1.165 OAL where my Zero 147's were 1.130
  14. I just got some 160 Bayou's sized to .356 and they really look nice. I can't wait for this weekend(or maybe Wed.) to try them.
  15. Only if you go over the 50 guns worked on per year right? Also the FFL fee and FET is much cheaper than any lawyer I can think of.
  16. NOOOOO, flash backs to the last Tulsa Open Nationals, I know that thread is here somewhere.
  17. My wife once asked me if something happened to me would she be surprised at what she finds in the safe/gunroom? I smiled and said of course not, while thinking shocked as hell would be the better term certainly not surprised.
  18. Yeah, after Todd's truck that sign was the second most photographed thing there.
  19. Don't worry Jack I took enough pictures of that truck that Todd will never live it down. I'm having poster sized prints made this week. I seem to recall a tractor with a bucket being involved also.
  20. I load mine to 1.125 and they work fine. I was loading longer until they started binding in the mags.
  21. Reading the WSB I see that the shooter must engage the paper, do a reload and engage the steel. Nothing tells me in what order the shooter must do these things. They just have to be done after the buzzer and before if finished ULSC. If I were shooting limited or open I would shoot everything left to right then reload off the clock while the RO was trying to count how many procedurals they thought I should have. I have fullfilled the requirements as written. Now I know what the designer intended, but we do not factor in intent to this game. No procedurals here.
  22. Happy B-Day Fran. See you Saturday.
  23. Damnit, change them like I told you to. It will make your gun act up just like yours did today
  24. My question is why not shoot single stack minor? I mean if you are going to shoot minor, at least get the advantage of the extra rounds.
