  1. I have both. I give the Canik S the nod with the same trigger pull every time. Price is less and more bang for the buck than the CZ. I have been a CZ guy for a long time and the Canik Rival S has completely changed my mind. Lok grips will complete the package.
  2. Ghost universal. Fits everything! I have two rigs, one for pistols and one for PCC. You can alternate colors or make them all the same.

    Canik MC9

On the CanikFanatic forum, someone did post the Shield holster fit his MC9. I ordered a leather Galco IWB for a Shield to use with my MC9.
  4. Holster..... this! Smoky Mountain Concealment. https://smokymtnconcealment.com/collections/canik-comp-2-0-competion-holster/products/canik-comp-2-0-competition-holster Pictured is the .125 thickness in Black with red eyelets. I had the black retention knobs from another project. This holster works.
  5. It's still a nice piece if you just like to plink at the range.

When you field strip it, the frame ejector assembly internals are metal like the Rival S. They really did a good job.

Once the recoil spring settled, it recoils like a larger gun. Think Glock 19ish. It's a small gun so expect a little more recoil at first until you make a firm adjustment to your support hand grip. One handed. both strong and weak, the gun is fine. Canik did a good job matching the recoil spring assembly to a 3.1" barrel. I ran 114PF (Rival S Chrono) ammo in it after 250 rounds. No hiccups! I also put 50 rounds of Freedom Munitions 124g XTP through it with no issues.
  8. What would be cool (and help us out) is to run calipers on the flat front of the trigger faces for comparison. I like the ZP but maybe a different trigger in the Rival S will be better.
  9. I have a FS Zombie Pro in a TP9 SFX and my Rival S Dark Side. I like the way the actual blade is small and the sides are beveled in towards the trigger safety. It makes the trigger (to me) just a little more 2011ish. The hook on the bottom is very beneficial.

    Canik MC9

After 300+ rounds, the first 150 being hot break-in ammo, I can report the MC9 eats every weight and bullet profile factory 9mm ammo. One word; keeper.
  11. Come to the darkside, your training will be complete.

    Canik MC9

The MC9 followed me home today. I like how the frame/grip has been rounded off. I'll feed it 100 pills tomorrow.

    Canik MC9

Has anyone besides the youtubers actually shot one yet? I get to hold one tomorrow afternoon at my LGS.
  15. See the other threads in this forum.
  16. The Rivals deserve this kind of attention.
  17. My apologies, I just noticed that in the pic of the barrel. Very, very cool concept. I hope they put one together for the S.
  18. Forward Index Attachment Left Forward Index Attachment Screw It does secure a barrel recoil buffer in the frame.
  19. Will they be able to accommodate the new thumb rest from Align Tactical ?
  20. I reached out to Jarvis about the possibility for them to machine a barrel for the Caniks and their reply is they do not have any plans to support the Canik line at this time.
  21. I like it!!! Now it's going to make every holster maker go crazy! Have they partnered with a holster company??
  22. Have you noticed any change in accuracy after the performed work? How much crown did you have done, 11 degrees or more? I'm sending in my Rival S barrel to Patriot Defense on Monday. If Canik ever makes enough to sell as spares, I'll have that one throated too. I did send an email to Jarvis about offering a Rival S barrel since they have tooling for Walther barrels. If they come back and say they need a barrel to pattern I'll gladly send mine to them. I have a TP9 SFX to shoot and other guns too.
  23. The MC9 is supposed to be released tomorrow. Maybe this is the carrot.
