  1. Rival S on the left, Walther PDP 5" on the right.
  2. After a few drops of Ballistol, it came out after a little persuasion.
  3. Striker block plunger differences (width) Canik Rival S = .10 Walther PDP = .06 There you go!! Thank you JoeK1!!!
  4. I'm going to look at my Walthers and see if this part is interchangeable. If so and the Walther part is thinner, then parts are available if you don't want to mess with it. Certain parts should be able to work in both guns.
  5. I looked at the slide last night and all he did was strip the threads on the head, not shear off the head. Easy enuf!
  6. All, A friend of mine was taking a red dot off his S2 and one of the screws broke off in the slide. What are your recommendations to fix? He wants to mount his iron sight plate back on the gun for a while. Thanks in advance!
  7. I've tried the CMC and have the Hiperfire ECL and 24C in the lowers. I prefer the positive reset of the HF triggers.
  8. 11.5 hammer spring, ex firing pin, reduced firing pin spring. This combo has been in my 75s and Shadow 2s without any hiccups. Keep your firing pin channel clean and I use Wilson Combat Universal grease/oil on the rails.
  9. I knew you would figure it out! Bravo!!
  10. Is there a PDP full size STEEL FRAME coming to us in 2024? If so, I'm getting rid of my Canik Rival Steel frame pistols and getting this! What do y'all think??
  11. We all have our "moments"! Don't worry!!
  12. Beyond frustrating, it's annoying!
  13. Canik reduced recoil spring (blue) and 6lbs striker spring. I put the calipers on all the mags last night and there wasn't enough of a change there. All ammo was slightly nose up. I can always re-install the stock RSA and striker springs. My guys yesterday brought their own off the shelf ammo and I usually run 124-147gs in the guns. I did pull my PDP 5" barrel and Glock 34 Wilson Combat barrel to look at feed ramps. Nothing to measure just a looksy. Wilson has a much nicer ramp than the other two. To my eye, the PDP and Canik ramp angles are the same BUT the PDP extends past the Canik closer to the magazine and it's enough to be noticeable. I have no idea how this relates but the PDP ran the problematic ammo just fine.
  14. Now both of my Ss are jamming Round Nose rounds into the feed ramp with the the first round and during a run. All 10 mags are doing the same thing. I think this might be an ammo issue with longer OALs too. Have to get out the calipers and check this. Magazines (old and new) are running Grams, Rune, and stock springs. The ammo in question is Remington 115g, Winchester 115g, Sellior/Bellot 115g, and Federal 115g. This whole Canik thing is perplexing and has given me a good reason to look at other guns. One gun is stock and the other just a Freedomsmith trigger. I hosted my military unit to a morale event at a local range. I had to take both of the Canik Ss off the line.
  15. I have found with both of my Ss they don't like flat tip ammo. I have noticed the feed ramp angle is likely the issue. Round nose ammo, coated and others, work great.

"Blitz" runs at 1300fps. I'll chrono it when convenient. I'm not worried about power factors.

I ran a Super Vel 100g "Blitz" through my 2 Rival Ss over the weekend and worked just fine. OAL is 1.120.
  18. So, Limited Optics division allows speed holsters?

    Cut spring

I did that to a Glock and......well....... I bought the softer full length spring for the gun. My two Rival S Darksides have the lightened Sprinco spring. They work. I bought a few since lightened springs tend to wear out a little quicker than stock.
  20. Try taking out the firing pin if you can.
