  1. I belive it was the Viking Warrior that sent me a link to Brian's web site about a year ago. Even
  2. Phil, you do of course have to go to Casey's. It's a widely known place amongst us Norwegian shooters :-) This will cover your nightly activeties. Even (Edited by Even at 10:26 am on Oct. 26, 2001)
  3. Kevin, if cost is not a problem, you should look at the Zeiss 1,1-4x24 Varipoint. It has an illuminated dot and when turned down to 1,1x it's almost as a red dot sight, and 4x is all you need for long range in 3 gun. You can also get it with a bullet drop compensator. Even
  4. Erik and Kelly, when you talk about not enough elevation, is that when the dial goes to 600 yards and not 800y? NM front sight, would that be approx. .050" wide? What size should the small rear hole be? Even (Edited by Even at 8:08 am on Oct. 17, 2001)
  5. Erik, I know about the stages in Vegas. I was there at the 2000 3-Gun Nationals, and I was NOT impressed. I guess I'm hoping that they will be better in 2002.... SS, I'm one of those who always tend to bang my rifle into the barricades etc. I need something that can take a beating :-) Even

Erik, we do also have the different bullet diameters, 120 gr minimum for Open major vs yours 115 gr. 9x19 is legal for Open major, always has been. Open major PF is 160 and Standard major PF is 170. Same for Modified. We play the same game, why can't we get the same set of rules? Even
  7. SS, I have looked at the JP sight, but I think it looks a little too fragile. I’m talking a closer look at the sight Erik mentioned. Erik, I just might come over for the 3-Gun Nationals next year. But this time I’ll shoot Limited, not Open as I did last time. Right now I don’t have a shotgun, but a friend of mine is about to get a Benelli. Just have to figure out the right model to get. But this might be a whole new topic. What have to decide is if I want to do the 3-Gun sometime in May (I think?) or the Limited Nationals just prior to the World Shoot in South Africa. Right now, all three is out of the question L. Anyone know what the bolt action deal is, at the 3-Gun Nationals? Even

    Chronographing

SS, DB is right, IPSC major PF is 170. When they decided to lower the PF, they did it in the senseble IPSC way. Let's make two different ones for Open and Standard, rather than the USPSA KISS approach. Even
  9. Kelly and all you other limited rifle shooters, I’m looking for some kind of iron sight for a flat top AR. But I really don’t know what to get. I’ve been looking at the DPMS sight found here: http://www.shooterstore.com/acb/showdetl.c...0&CATID=494 will this sight be OK? I like this sight better than the carry handle types, and I don’t need one with any other tactical options or whatever. What kind of click adjustments do I need, ¼ “ or ½ “? What size aperture, front sight post, etc? Even

    Chronographing

Peter, What Kath says, translates into 175 pf for IPSC :-) But seriously, chronographs are always variable. I run a dual chrono setup, one CED Milennium and an old Oehler 33, they are both within 5 fps of each other. Most times at matches I will be close to my measured PF, but I have on occasions been really close to minor. I always load to 5 pf over major, that’s what’s saved me….. 11. Peter, You can be a foreign member, just like Pat and I. Even
  12. Patrick, where does it say that you can not use 9x19 major in open division in IPSC? As far as I know, only USPSA prohibit 9x19 major in open division. Even
  13. You might wanna take a look at the Tubb-2000 Competition/Tactical Rifle that Mcmillan offers. Even
  14. Hey Brian. I tried to find the pictures of your sight protector, but with no luck. Can you help me out? Even
  15. Angus does not "live" in the US, he just stays there for long periods of time :-). Just came back to Norway today. I left from Chicago O'Hare and it was not really crowded there....... No problem flying with guns, but other security was stronger. Even
  16. Brian, You can see the scores here http://www.ipsc-euro.de/eng/main.htm Adriano came in second in the international match, but after removing Frank Garcia, Joe Boone, Estuardo Gomez and Alex Chang, he got bumped into third place. The Norwegian team and I were on the same squad as Adriano and the rest of the Italien team. They were all good shooters, all of them in top 16. I, myself did not have a very good match. Even
  17. Patrick, could you help me out with a picture of the McArthur comp? Even
  18. Phil, Don't worry to much about Newark, I'll be flying thru on my way to Colorado. I'll see you in Barry.....If I get that far...... Even
  19. Phil, Good to hear that you got a slot! Looks like it will be some international attendance. Will you come alone? Regarding your magazines, I don’t think you will have any problems with them. They will be more interested your gun. Last year when I came over for the 3-gun Nationals and Area 2 customs gave me some trouble. They wanted to see my import papers from BATF!? Customs don’t always know all the rules, and as it turned out they found out that my gun was for sporting purpose and that I didn’t need an import license from BATF. Lucky for me that my connecting flight was delayed. I do have a horror story about traveling with a gun thru Newark Airport that happened to a friend of mine. Read about it here: http://home.c2i.net/jailbird/page1.html Even
  20. Julien, I'll be there, shooting Standard Division like you and Detlef. Both the US Army and Airforce Team plan on comming over to Europe. Even
  21. Kelly, you can see the stages here http://www.nfps.no/nordic_r/nmr2001.pdf It's the most challenging courses of fire I’ve shoot with a rifle, ever! You should have been there! Even
  22. isto, there were some guys from Finland at the Nordic Rifle Champs last week, would you happen to be one of them? Even
  23. Phil, I did also shoot the Classic last year. The stages were good, and of course high roundcount. That means no stage required less than 15 rnds., but still it was a good match. Still prefer IPSC style courses of fire......... Do you know for sure that the National slots are out? I got one, but then again, I guess I was #1 on the waiting list. 24. Nik, actually his exact wording was “My President is Mike Voigt”. Last years 3-gun Nationals was the weekend before the historic Y2K US election. So there was some talk about Presidents........... Even
  25. He is also our President. Wounder if Robbie ever made those bumper stickers? Even
