  1. The frame widths are ever-so-slightly different. And... This.
  2. I think you'll like them. I have no affiliation with SNS - I just really like their products and they've always treated me well.
  3. Titegroup. 3.0 grains nets me around a 137ish PF in a Short Colt case.
  4. Oh yeah! USPSA5 for 5% off. There's also a code for 10%, but I forget how many bullets you have to buy for that.
  5. SNS for me. Their coating is a little thicker and more even than BBI (though they're also a fine choice).
  6. The 160 sold by SNS and BBI has a long, tapered nose. They reload very quickly.
  7. I'm a huge fan of SNS. They have a 160gr RN that's my load of choice in .38 Short Colt and/or .38 Special: https://www.snscasting.com/38-357-160-grain-round-nose-red-coated-1000ct/
  8. I was iffy on whether or not this is a "registration" issue so please feel free to move if needed. I ran a match last night and uploaded results when we were done. However, the match still shows in my "Upcoming Events" dashboard and not in "Results". The results are definitely uploaded - I could find them by searching under "Scores" and I've even claimed them for my club. I confirmed with another shooter and he's seeing the same thing. I initially set the match up on PS then pulled it to my tablets using the Practiscore PIN. When we were done, I sync'd them and then uploaded using the option in the app on a tablet. Is there something I missed? I usually do this for the other match I help run and don't see this issue.
  9. I guess I needed to clarify that I meant the opening in the frame and not the grip... Either way, I went and talked to the rep. They use a different frame for the single- and-double stack models. It seems sort of silly - what's the point of a modular frame if you're going to be dedicated to one setup or the other? The delta in frame width is so minimal that an ambi safety makes a bigger difference. And then selling a modular setup but stating the separating the components voids the warranty? Okay, sure Staccato...
  10. They're all nice. I wouldn't spend $4k on the one with the slide-mounted optic and comp; there are much better options for that much money.
  11. Right, but is the frame opening different?
  12. Staccato was having a range day at my local shop so I got to play with a bunch of their guns. I'd never seen the single-stack models before and it made me wonder - do they use the same frame as the double-stack models? Or is the mag opening different?
  13. Through the power of money, all things are possible. (the Competitor is only available in stainless from the factory as far as I know)
  14. It's just a Competitor refinished in what appears to be TiN. I'd run it all week long, and twice in Sundays.
  15. Fake news. I'm shooting ONE match in SS of the five big matches I have coming up. Maybe in the fall. Still shooting revo major and will continue through September if I get into IDPA Nationals.
  16. You're a Single Stack shooter now. Your opinion is invalidated.
  17. I think the 14-round disparity really negates that advantage...
  18. Email NROI and tell them. I requested this exact option and was told "Well, there wasn't much enthusiasm for it." Maybe they'll consider it if they hear it from more people.
  19. All Starline. The diameter of the Rhino's charge holes is just a hair bigger, causing the moons to freeze.
  20. Hey all, I frequently RO indoors and I've noticed the ringing picking up in my ears even with the custom-molded plugs I wear. I figure it's time to switch over to plugs under electronic muffs on indoor ranges. I'm curious if anyone has found a good way to rig up a GoPro-style camera mount on their ear pro? I know things like hat mounts exist, but I've always found them to be unbalanced and uncomfortable when paired with muffs. I'm happy to drill/glue/whatever if the end result is reliable. Thanks!
  21. I found them to be about as tolerant as metal moons. Some brass fit in/out better than others, but .40 is notoriously variable.
  22. 100%. I'm going to guess that inexperienced/bad revo shooters are no better or worse than comparable shooters in any division. Except maybe PCC. Cheaters. Hey! I was there! I hope I gave you a high-five or something. That doesn't strike me as odd. SS has the same number of rounds as a revolver, but major scoring, +1 to start, and half the reload time/trigger pull. That seems like the correct delta if comparing high Revolver to high Single Stack.
  23. It's like running Tick Tock with a major gun: Bang-bang-reload-bang-bang-reload-bang-bang-reload-bang-bang.
