  1. While that can be due to sloppiness of the carrier, it is rarely due to a bad bolt. Over Gassed (out of time) is a big part of bolts breaking at cam pin holes.
  2. Now you have done it Nick. The anti-3Gunner pistol shooters will revolt en masse now.
  3. If you want to send it back, we can trade it out for the next size up. The actual belt panel will be 5 inches longer, same ratchet. We can also get you the 14" strap, which would then use the same panel, but add 7 inches. You can trim the strap to the length to like as well.
  4. The outer belt is a polymer with a Velcro liner.
  5. 1.5". If you order one, please read the description! The lengths are actual, meaning what a tape measure will actually measure around your waist with an inner belt on. DON'T order your pant size, it will be too small!
  6. I shot PCC with a high 9 HF on can you count, yes the reloads were slow. I used a 33rd with a 23 reload from the pocket. Going to a 41 with some 23s on the belt will certainly help.
  7. It is silver and very smooth.
  8. I check headspace. High mileage on a bolt kind of depends on the bolt... Not all are equal. I have no doubt a quality bolt can go 100k when used in a quality carrier. I have 4 barrels, about 40k on my current match rifle with the same bolt.
  9. No, fixed time is only points, no HF, which is bypassed.
  10. I taught my 12 and 14 year old this method out of the gate and to see them shoot off hand out to about 200 yards is impressive. Hunter (12) got his hit on the first round at a 10" plate at 100 yards only needing 3 or 10 allotted rounds for 3 hits. The youngest competitor in the American Marksman regional gets a stage win. The 14 year old was a second behind him needing 4 shots for 3 hits.
  11. Thank you for all you have contributed to the betterment of the sport.
  12. Which is MagnaPorting, and like Doug said, is Open Division.
  13. We now have a complete belt system too. Inner, outer, with the ratchet system...CARBS. the hole patterns on the outer belt will take ELS, TMMS attachments, or direct mount as well.
  14. I understand your position, but that is what I was told prompted that verbiage. I agree the wording should be changed. Write your AD and explain your thoughts. That if the best way to effect a change in the verbiage.
  15. PCC should take no more time than pistol. If it is then there is a problem with how they are managed.
  16. It was due to the ATF rulings on the SIG brace.
  17. Mine is actually on an ELS now too.
  18. Maybe Curtis..but you dropped a lot of points shooting PCC. I know you like to go fast, but just a stitch longer, shooting PCC, gets you a lot more points. Being able to figure out what the overall HHF on a stage will be gives some input as to speed vs. points trade-off. I don't even care about times on my stages shooting USPSA, but I will try to guess the HHF, or ask one of the Ms or GMs in Limited or Open what their HF was and if they shot it well and incorporate that into my stage planning. That is what gave me the idea to shoot stage 5 the way I did. Putting 45% on a top Limited GM...advantage PCC, not shooter. Long steel, advantage PCC over Open...no question in my mind.
  19. I have two of the aforementioned more expensive chronos sitting on the shelf, sold two others, and almost exclusively use the Caldwell now. Inexpensive, easy to use, best output format I have seen, and accurate. Tested against others including a magnetospeed and Labradar and it is more accurate than some of the old standbys. I heard of a few that had issues, and they got them replaced, so that is good.
  20. Thx. For the 223 gong stage where do you have to point the rifle at the start for the standing unsupported string? It can be on target for all of the ,223 Gong strings. Safety is ON for this stage only. All others start at low ready, finger off trigger, safety off.
  21. I would contend that all shots are easier with a PCC. The transition and reload speed is where the pistol beats the PCC. I had no issue with reloads using a Sub2k. It was exactly like reloading a pistol. I was using a Sub2000. In drills, at least a half a second faster with a pistol per reload. If you have some great technique, can you show us a video doing pistol and Sub2000 reloads. Can always learn new techniques.
