I trimmed the spring like how he showed in the video but it was still hitting the frame. I rounded off the edge and now it's okay. Safety still functions
I got mine installed in a gen 5, but the trigger safety is catching on the frame. If I adjust my trigger finger it doesn't catch, but it's takes a lot of adjustment.
Anyone else have the same problem?
I use 2 dark star gear koala pouches. There is adjustment in the height and angle. Would that setup work better for you?
I have both of mine set to be the same height as the top of the slide and at a negative cant. They don't affect my draw at all
A friend ordered a couple. This is his initial impressions
Timney striker and connecter came in today.
I installed it in my "worst" timney.
IDPA CO 17. Was gritty and breaking at 3lbs on my scale.
Just the connecter took it to 2.5lbs and smoothed it out. Striker brought it to 2 1/8lbs and soooo smoooooooth.
If the unengaged targets are behind cover then you can leave cover with an empty firearm, reload on the move to 2nd position of cover, and earn no penalty.
?? You confused me here
If you leave a point of cover with an empty firearm then you must have the reload complete before you expose yourself to the target behind the vision barrier or else it's a PE.
Under the new rules you must have the reload complete before leaving the point of cover. The vision barrier no longer "protects" you from the target
How do you check this and what's the fix? I'm getting lots of light primer strikes on mine. When I look through the magwell and pull the striker I can see the plunger slightly jump/move when the striker is released. Makes me think the fin isn't pushing the plunger enough
I think aiwb could be just as fast as the typical owb setup with a vest.
And I think drop off set will be slower than both. You still need a cover garment and it would need to be longer if your holster was dropped and might snag more
My 14# spring was fine but the most recent match they had 2 stages with windows. I usually use the muzzle to push the windows open but this time my slide went out of battery at two of the windows. Going to try a 15# spring instead..
