  1. Pretty sure giving out PEs like that is not allowed under this M-9.1.1 A written stage briefing may not supersede the shooting rules in Section 3 with regard to issuing procedural penalties to competitors. While a procedure may suggest a way to complete a string, the instructions are limited to following Section 3 in their guidance with regard to penalizing shooters. After the start signal penalties for non-shooting actions may not be issued to competitors for their performance on a stage. Edit - looks like this was already said. My bad
  2. It's so factory ammo can be used and still make power factor with CCP guns
  3. Remove the appeal process or re-write it
  4. The only way to fix what people don't like about this decision is to remove the appeal process. Maybe that will happen... probably not
  5. Did the other shooters who DQd file a written appeal? I haven't heard if that happened
  6. It does not matter. That is the appeal process
  7. This is what supposed to happen after a Witten appeal 10.3.1 After receipt of the written appeal, the MD will deliver the document to the Area Coordinator (AC) of the region or his delegate, who will act as Lead of the Arbitration Team. 10.3.2 The AC will select a team of 3 shooters (including himself) who are certified Safety Officers to comprise the Appeals Team. Each member will have one vote. The Appeals Team Members should have no conflict of interest with the outcome. 10.3.3 The Appeals Team will review the document prepared by the Shooter and will retain the appeal fee until a decision is made. 10.3.4 The Team may request further information from the shooter, SO, CSO, MD, and witnesses, and may inspect any stage or area related to the appeal. 10.3.5 The shooter filing the appeal should not initiate communications with any of the parties involved with the issue or with the Appeals Team after the initial submission of the appeal. 10.3.6 The team will deliberate and render a decision within 1 hour after receipt of the appeal. This will be presented to the MD and the shooter who filed the appeal. 10.3.7 It is the responsibility of the MD to implement the Appeals Team’s decision. 10.3.8 If the team supports the appeal, this may involve reinstating the shooter, providing the shooter with a reshoot, eliminating a penalty or withdrawing the stage from the match. In this case, the appeal fee will be returned to the shooter. 10.3.9 If the team does not support the appeal, the decision of the MD stands and the AC will forward the appeal fee to IDPA Headquarters. 10.3.10 All decisions by the Appeals Team are final and may not be appealed. 10.3.11 No third-party appeals will be accepted by a shooter on behalf of someone else. 10.3.12 The AC will provide a summary of the appeal and disposition to IDPA Headquarters within 1 week of the match completion date.
  8. Right, that is what I am saying. That is why the shooter filed the written appeal and $100. It is out of the match directors hands and it goes to the area coordinator at that point
  9. The MD agreed with what and who went over whose head?
  10. The match director doesn't handle the appeal, the area coordinator does The appeal happens because the shooter and the match director disagree
  11. Yeah I guess. I don't see anything in the rule book against it. It says evidence and witnesses can be used in the written appeal. It also says the AC chooses shooters who are certified safety officers. I saw a post that said they picked spectators. Is that actually true or just a rumor?
  12. He filed a written appeal. It's in the rule book
  13. I use the .300 basepads with the same magwell on a 34.5. Fit is fine
  14. Me? Glock makes a magwell for gen 5s. It's awful
  15. Interesting. Thanks for helping me understand
  16. I'm asking about this but I'm sure I worded it wrong. With a stock trigger and a reduced power recoil spring most people need to use a reduced power striker spring to prevent the slide from going out of battery. For example my new Gen 5 45 with a 14# recoil spring the slide goes out of battery when pulling the trigger. Will the reduced striker spring have the same affect with the timney trigger? Or do I need to increase the weight on the reduced power recoil spring ?
  17. Sooo...does a reduced power striker spring have any effect on the recoil spring with the timney? My 14# reduced recoil spring sort of drags when slowly dropped the slide (like the "recoil spring test"). Would a reduced power striker spring have any effect on this with the timney trigger?
  18. I have two for a cz and Glock. Both fit fine and look good. I have a third one the way
  19. The OEM magwell is easily removed. It's a little flimsy.. but it doesn't use screws, just need a punch to push it out
  20. Nice. I shot that match. The 27th is Tuesday. Do you mean 28th?
  21. Is the bar rubbing against the connector?
  22. Any idea how long the trigger spring would Iast and where we can order spares from?
  23. Ooooooohhhhh. I was so confused at the picture I didn't adjust anything with that screw.
