  1. Reloading press is the best single upgrade there is, although it is basically about as expensive as a new gun. Love the P-09, has a great feel and it is good way to start up a CZ addiction.
  2. https://issuu.com/eaacorp/docs/1-3-17?e=16930521/42672407 There are several new models in the 2017 catalog. There are poly match and a poly match pro, and a new limited custom. The color looks better in the catalog but, I certainly would want to see what the color looks like in persone before I would consider buying one. The Limited custom obviously has a lightened slide, listed as 1.9 LBS, compared to 2.8 LBS for a limited elite.
  3. I use a 160 on my S3. Wish I had gotten the 140. I have had no issues with the rear sight with the 160 but, I do see why the rear sight is prone to breakage. I can't compare the Dawson vs. the Henning. I use Dawson sights on all my guns, great prices, free shipping, good customer service, and he is in the Motherland (Texas).
  4. http://benstoegerproshop.com/eaa-tanfoglio-witness-elite-limited-9mm/ Not sure how the price compares but Ben Stoeger has it in 9mm.
  5. I used a kydex up until this season. Personally I am faster from the buzzer to first shot now. I am able to position the holster in a way that I never could with a drop holster. I did 1,000 dry fire draws in the mirror before I even took it to the range in order to get comfortable drawing and seating my pistol. I think it is too new to determine reliability (I keep my old drop holster in my range bag just in case). I am not worried about retention though. I have spent some quality time chasing my dog around the back yard with my pistol locked down in the holster. It does not move at all.
  6. I would shoot it close to stock for a bit. Some green or orange zombie paint on the front sight (or a FO). Grip tape is a cheap way to improve the grips (or new grips). Optimized Springs from PD are an inexpensive upgrade. The nice thing about grip tape and a paint pen is that they are a cheap way to upgrade the gun. A good holster is a must. Since you are shooting limited division a race holster is a nice upgrade over a standard drop holster. I use the CR speed WSM 2, it really makes you faster regardless of skill level.
  7. If you use one how well does it work? Is it reliable enough to use at matches? I load my own rounds, recoil is very manageable but, it could always be better. My favorite loads put me at 171 - 172 PF. I do not use shock buffers. Considering giving one of the two major brands a try. Is it worth the money in your opinion?
  8. Those look sweet! How long until we can take fancy pictures with our own palm swell grips?
  9. That is a good idea. I will have my wife get started on it tonight.
  10. The only problem with my backyard range is the people on the other side of the fence get mad at me for some reason. Even when I shoot really tight groups.
  11. Welcome to the forum. I will wager a shiny nickel that your hammer gets changed out at some point so it will not matter either way. I thought all the grip options I have tried so far have been on the small side as well. There should be some new grips options with palm swells soon if we are all lucky. Looking at you Patriot Defense.
  12. That happened to me once also (I bet something like this happened to most of us here once). Now I only tear it down and put it together with reading glasses on. Sucks getting old.
  13. My S3 set is up pretty close to yours. Love that Canik trigger pin from CGW!
  14. I am impressed that you typed up that whole post on your cell phone! At a Doctor's office no less! That is some top notch doctoring there! Was it a VA clinic?
  15. Looking forward to hearing opinions on this part. My lead thumb goes much further forward than the location of the thumb rest though.
  16. I am just curious about the cycle of operation and how the BOLO impacts it when used in a SAO setting.
  17. When using a BOLO in an SAO configuration with the hammer down the action just sits somewhere short of a full DA reset?
  18. I have also shot with some of the Renton Dragons while traveling to Washington. Those kids can shoot!
  19. Looks like he is off to a great start. Parts went into the mailbox today. Most of what I sent will end up being spare parts for him. There is a 10# recoil spring that hey may want to use, there is also a Henning Basepad. We have one of the top junior shooting teams in the country here in Austin. I think it is great that you are putting work with the next crop of shooters John. Best of luck to the whole team next season.
  20. As always thanks for all the input fellas. This sub-forum rocks
  21. I have some Henning grips coming. I have considered the scales as well. The contour is really what sold me.
  22. Thanks! I just don't care for how thin the EG's are compared to the wood grips.
